摘    要:提出了一种理想定时器模型,并根据此模型提出了多个评价定时器性能的指标。对一个实际业务支撑系统的相关数据分析表明:业务请求消息的处理规模和相应的往返时间之间具有显著的线性相关性,基于此规律,该文给出了一种适用于具有任意处理规模的业务请求消息的定时器设计方法,并通过仿真分析了定时器在上述评价指标下的性能。

Abstract:An ideal timer model and a set of performance metrics to evaluate actual timers are proposed on the purpose of designing efficient timers for applications. The linear correlation of the message RTT with the corresponding processing volume is found by analyzing the real data sampled from a service provisioning system. Based on this law, a general method is developed for designing application timers that can adapt messages with various processing volume. Finally, the performance of the timer following the proposed method is evaluated by simulation with respect to the proposed performance metrics.
