Abstract:When the hydrogen-rich reforming gas is used instead of pure hydrogen in high temperature polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell(HT-PEMFC),high concentration of CO(3×10-2)can poison electrode and decrease the performance of cell.Pt/C and PtRu/C catalysts were used to prepare multilayer structure anodes,the effects of different anode structures on the cell performance were investigated when reforming gas was fed,and the optimal anode structure(composite anode of Pt/C inner-layer and PtRu/C outer-layer)was optimized.Compared with conventional Pt/C anode,the cell voltage increases by 48.2%(160 mV)at 160℃and 0.5 A/cm2 with 3×10-2 CO/H2.The CO-tolerance mechanism of the multilayer composite anode was discussed.
