Abstract:With the objectives of optimizing operation and reducing energy consumption, an energy consumption analysis model for heating units is established, taking into account the complexity of the variable steam supply operation mode of large coal-fired cogeneration units. Taking a 1 000 MW unit as an example, the energy consumption characteristics of nine steam supply technical schemes are analyzed.The research results show that when the power load is low the optimal steam supply modes are cold reheat steam for immediate pressure industrial steam(IPIS) and cold reheat steam for low pressure industrial steam(LPIS) when the power load is low, while, the optimal choices are cold reheat steam for IPIS and immediate pressure turbine exhaust steam for LPIS when the power load is high. In typical working condition(power load of 500 MW, IPIS of 150 t/h, LPIS of 150 t/h), the fuel utilization coefficient and exergy efficiency of cold reheat steam for IPIS and cold reheat steam for LPIS mode are higher than cold reheat steam for IPIS and hot reheat steam for LPIS mode increased by 0.36% and 0.37% respectively.
