Abstract:The progress of the research on electroless Ni-P plating for magnesium alloys is overviewed and the binary, ternary and multicomponent coatings as well as nanometer granule composite coating, etc. of electroless Ni-P plating are presented. The advantages and disadvantages and application scope of several coatings of this type are analysized and compared. The prospect of the electroless plating for magnesium alloys is also discussed.
