According to the commitment for entrance of WTO,the chemical fertilizer market in China will step into the global development period by the end of year 2006,with opening up overall chemical fertilizer business and corresponding service of wholesale and retail.Based on the present such facts as China's potash fertilizer self-sufficient ratio of 1/3,the imported dependence ratio of about 70% and imported price of 231 US$ per ton,as well as the outmoded commercial thought,view-point and method of China's potash fertilizer enterprise,the problems and challenge facing China's potash fertilizer industry are discussed.
