| Abstract: | The applied technology development and market potential of the natural gas vehicle are presented in this paper. Characteristics of various types of natural gas engine are illustrated. Special technologies employed to improve performance and reduce exhaust emission of natural gas engine are discussed in detail. Finally, the research and development of liquefied natural gas (LNG) engine are also mentioned. |
