Analysis of the Point of Fall of CBU-94 Blackout Bomb

Based on the tactical application of U. S military CBU-94 type blackout bomb, the application process and operational theory are discussed. The fall point of conductive fiber is calculated by three stages and the computing equations for bomb parabola motion, fiber roll parabola motion and the motion of the fiber with the wind are provided. The calculating method is presented by taking the origin of coordinates as the fall point, and then giving the coordinates data when dispensing the bomb. The special 3-D coordinate software can be used to calculate the GPS coordinates of the dispensed bomb under the condition that the GPS coordinates of the target point are known.
