| Abstract: | ＂Honorifics in manuals＂ is widely used in Japanese chain service industry, which puzzles foreigners and confuses citizens. This article analyzes the reasons why people consider ＂honorifics in manuals＂ unnatural and discusses the perspectives hold by Japanese people. Concurrently, the author uncovers the proper attitude foreign language learners should have towards honofifics. |
