| Abstract: | Constitutive equation provides the basic information to describe the deformation of metals and is an unnecessary mathematical model used in finite element simulation. It shows the dependence of flow stress on strain, strain rate and temperature. To determine constitutive equation,it is necessary to measure the values of flow stress over a range of temperatures and strain rates. This is usually done by compression tests. In this article,several major factors which have effects on accuracy of flow stress are analyzed, and then methods of correction are proposed. |
