Abstract:Synthesis of anisaldehyde in a yield of over 95% has been accomplished in the present investigation by employing the method of out-chamber indirect electrochemical oxidization and using p-cresylol as the starting material. Cyclic usage of the oxidizing agent enadles the reaction more practical, effective and ecnomical. According to the electrochemical properties of the system concerned, factors governing the yield and the current efficiency of the system were discussed.
