| Abstract: | Depending on the urban design issues that are concerned by both urban planning and architecture fields, the paper sorts out the relationship of urban design and correlative fields. Based on the analyses, the paper argues that urban design is a comprehensive system and should be established on multi-discipline platform. Furthermore, under present urban planning background, it is practicable and feasible to institutionalize urban design into urban planning system. |
