Effects of Exploitation of Oceanic Polymetallic Nodule upon Environment

An emphasis is put on that researches should not be neglected about effects of exploitation of oceanic polymetallic nodule upon environment. The focal points and trend of the researches being carried out are briefly described, and impacts of sea-bed mining, activities on the sea and work on land on surroundings respectively. It is concluded that the enviromental impacts are mainly resulted from submarine mining, waste water discharge of mining ships and processing onshore, of which the submarine mining is the most crucial impact on the environment.
