Abstract:In accordance to reactive power absorption by west grids from Guangdong power grids during transmitting active power in power transmission from west to east,the paper studies on overvoltage level of lines in the condition of quitting HV shunt reactors(hereinafter referred to as HSR).Measured data of Line A and line B of Guishan line,line Ⅰand lineⅡ of Heluo line,Ⅰand lineⅡof Wuluo line and line Ⅰand lineⅡ of Yumao line are taken as research objects and distributed parameter model is adopted as calculation model.By necessary equivalence simplification,maximum frequency overvoltage,frequency resonance overvoltage,secondary arc current as well as recovery voltage and switching overvoltage are calculated.The calculation result shows that single-side quit can be considered to quit on Heluo line and Yumao line and measures are unnecessary.When HV reactors quit from operation,reclosing time should be prolonged in order to ensure success ratio.HV reactors can not quit from Guishan line because maximum frequency overvoltage exceeds permitting value industrial standards and big secondary arc current.
