| Abstract: | In order to present the emergence and development of the ethic and social studies of Nano science and technology, the authors uses information visualization technology and mapping of science to show ongoing state of international ethic and social studies of Nano science, including the most influential academic groups and hot-topics. Through 20 years development, the ethic and social studies of Nano science and technology has formed six main highly influential author groups represented by Roco MC, Bainbridge WS, Drexler KE, Schummer J, Kuzma J, Maynard AD and Rip A. The hot topics focus on ethic, law, religious, educational and social issues and global governance research of converging technologies under Nano scale. The international academic community of Nano ethics and social research has developed rapidly since 2001, while China’s research is just beginning and almost has no “voice” concerning this field, which is extremely inharmonious with China’s leading position of nanotechnology research in the international arena. |
