摘    要:提出了一种新的多光谱图像压缩方案。三维率失真优化截取码块编码(3D EBCOT)算法根据多光谱图像的成像特点。利用非对称的三维离散小波变换去除多光谱图像的空间冗余和频域的相关性。再通过拓展改进最新的静止图像压缩标准JPEG2000中的二维率失真优化截取内嵌码块编码(2D EBCOT)算法。在比特平面编码器中引入谱问上下文。使用相应算术编码器并对经过三维小波交换后的系数进行编码。提高了多光谱图像的压缩效率.根据具体要求组织的内嵌码流,可继承获得JPEG2000标准内嵌码流抗误码等优良特性.使用该方法对一组6波段多光谱图像压缩编码后的重楚图像显示。具有比三维小波分层树集合分割排序编码的算法(3D SPIHT)具有更好的图像质量和压缩性能.

Abstract:This paper proposes a new multispectral image data compression algorithm (3 Dimensional Embedded Block Coding with Optimized Truncation, 3D EBCOT), which can efficiently reduce spatial and spectral redundancies by applying the 3D Discrete Wavelet Transform (3D DWT), and get the embedded code stream by the three-dimensional Embedded Block Coding with Optimized Truncation(3D EBCOT) algorithm in wavelet transform domain. The novelty of the proposed coding strategy consists of two main parts: first, an unsymmetrical 3 dimensional DWT is used to reduce the redundancies in spatial and spectral domains. Then, after taking a 3D DWT, the coefficients are encoded using the 3D EBCOT algorithm which is expanded from JPEG2000. Numerical experiments on a six-band thematic mapper images show that the reconstructed images after using the proposed algorithm exhibit a better quality and higher compression ratio than the conventional JPEG2000 and KLT-3D SPIHT algorithms.
