| Abstract: | The breeding of forest trees by means of selection and of hybridization in order to obtain increased disease resistance and improved utilitarian qualities in pulp and timber trees is still in the experimental stage, but long-range planning along these lines offers one means of balancing diminishing timber supplies. |
