| 摘 要： | 简要介绍MPEG-1～MPEG-7的发展过程；着重分析了MPEG-2标准及其编码策略和存在的缺陷，MPEG-4标准的新特色及其构成框架，MPEG-7标准构想所涉及的主要技术及难点等；详细介绍了MPEG系列标准的发展思路、技术原理及各自的应用领域，并展望了其对未来人类生活产生的的影响。

| Abstract: | The development of Moving Picture Experts Group （MPEG） series standard from MPEG-1 to MPEG-7 is introduced in this paper and the coding method of MPEG-2 standard and the defect of the coding method is analyzed in detail. The new characteristics and the frame of MPEG-4 are presented also include the conceive of MPEG-7 standard and its main difficulty in technique domain. The main development roadway of MPEG standard and the application domain is presented in detail MPEG standard will effect our future life in deep. |
