| Abstract: | This paper describes the security mechanisms of 3G mobile telecommunication which specified in 3GPP/3GPP2 related specifications, and compares it with the security mechanisms in 2G mobile telecommunication system. At the same time, we analyze the advantage and disadvantage of the 2G and 3G security mechanisms respectively. |
