| 摘 要： | 从语言的交流功能角度和一国多语现象的语言研究理论来看,新加坡语言政策体现了正确的语言理论,全面考虑了在多语社会中确立一种共同语的必要性和复杂性,利用语言两大功能的特点,增强语言交流功能。其语言政策促使英语在新加坡更为通用,也极大地提高了华语的交流功能。英语和华语在族际交流中发挥了越来越大的作用。新加坡语言政策的成功对我国外语教育政策有一定的借鉴作用。

| Abstract: | Judged from the communicative function,one of the two major functions of language,and theories on multilingualism,Singapore's language policy displays the appropriate language theory in that it considers the necessity and complexity of establishing a common language in such a multilingual society and promotes the communicative function of English and Chinese.The two languages are playing a more and more important role in the ethnical communication.Singapore's language policy offers valuable lessons for China's policy on foreign language education. |
