A Rough Set Approach to Damage State Assessment of Concrete Bridges

An efficient algorithm is proposed for the damage state assessment of concrete bridges that use rough set as the tool to ex-tract rules as decision method. Take the advantage in processing incomplete information without any preliminary or additional informa-tion about data such as probability theory or grade of membership in fuzzy set theory. We use rough set theory to mine rules between the testing data of each branch construction and the state of the bridge. An experiment is done with a given data set, and the result is also analyzed in the paper.
