| Abstract: | With reference to positive transfer and negative transfer occurring in learning English,this essay attempts to analyze the influence of mother tongue on language learning,especially on the effect of negative transfer on English learning under the mother tongue patterns of thinking.Through the contrastive study between Chinese and English in word choices,the formation of phrases and etc.,it suggests several effective measures to eliminate the interference of mother tongue. |
