Abstract: | Argues that there is an assumption in N. A. Cummings's (see record 1980-08234-001) article that is unfortunate for psychologists who work with addiction and for their patients. Cummings devotes only a short paragraph to Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and speaks in a way that dismisses AA as not worthy of serious consideration in the treatment of addictions.
