Open space planning in Germany: A review of ideology and planning process

This paper discusses concepts, principles and process of open space planning in Germany. In last two decades, open space planning has combined tightly with ecology, environmentalism, aesthetics and recreation. It has become a great planning system as sustainable urban developmental system. The important principles include open space conservation, effective land use, increasing the quantities of open space and improving its quality, etc.
