Analysis on AutoCAD DXF File Format and the 2nd Development Graphics Software Programming

The DXF format is one of the widely used graphics exchange formats in the traditional graphics application development.The lots of 3rd party-developed graphics software have supported DXF format.To resolve the DXF format's 2nd development problem,this paper has introduced the structure of the DXF format exchangeable file in brief and has compared the contents and evolution between the different versions of DXF file format.The paper has discussed and analyzed in detail the programming methods to DXF file format in the 2nd development.Finally, with an application in a specific project,the paper gives a common and version-compatible solution for the same kinds of application development.
