| 摘 要： | 概述地理信息系统(GIS)服务在国外图书馆的应用实践，提出筹划此项服务需综合考虑用户需求、服务内容、人员配备等因素。通过典型个例，评述此项服务在用户培训和数据管理方面的经验。结合Suny Albany和纽约州立图书馆开展GIS服务的成功因素与失败教训，对我国图书馆界开展此类服务提出若干建议。

| Abstract: | This paper outlines the GIS services in overseas libraries, then it mentions the elements such as users?demand, service content and staff management, which should be considered in developing GIS services. From the case study, the author presents some experiences in users training and the data management. By analyzing the positive and negative factors of Suny Albany Library and New York State Library, the paper also puts forward some proposals on developing the GIS service in our country libraries. |
