Abstract:In this experiment, the isolated lung model of rabbit was used to study the effect of halothane on the production of hypoxic pulmonary vasoconstric-tion ( HPV ) . The results showed the HPV in halothane group differed significantly from that in the control and the response of hypoxic pulmonary vaso-constriction could be inhibted by halothane in dose-related manner.
