本文认为 ,抗战爆发是中国 2 0世纪文学史上一个很重要的分界线 ,此后 ,中国文学开始了一个很长的“共名”时期 (这个时期的下限尚有待确定 )。论文同时指出 ,鲁迅去世与抗战爆发在时间上几近重合 ,是这一分界能够成立的关键 :这一重合直接标志了战前新文学的某种精神的终结

An Important Line of Demarcation in the History of 20th-century Chinese Literature: The Breakout of the Anti-Japanese War

This essay holds that the breakout of the Anti Japanese War is a very important line of demarcation in the history of the 20 th century Chinese literature, as hereafter the Chinese literature saw a long period of "shared name" (the end of this period is still waiting to be defined). This essay also points out that Lu Xun's death nearly overlaps in time the breakout of the war, which is pivotal to the correct demarcation. In a word, the overlapping is an obvious indication of the end of certain spirit of the New Literature before the war.
