| Abstract: | Based on the panel data with 13 major cities of Hunan province from 1998 to 2008,the stochastic frontier production function model was constructed,by which the rate of technological progress was measured and analyzed.The result shows that the technological progress of service industries is significant,but the degree of technological progress is still different among the 13 major cities in Hunan.Cities in Hunan province should be supported by technological progress,in order to realize the cities’ overall function and enhance the overall level of services in Hunan province. |
