Abstract: | In radar applications, the monopulse technique is widely used to measure target angular co-ordinates. For non-fluctuating targets exhaustive studies and complete analyses on monopulse accuracy exist in the open literature. In the letter an extension of the theory for fluctuating targets is carried out and relevant results are shown for different radar detection parameters, i.e. probability of false alarm (Pfa) probability of detection (Pd) and signal/noise ratio (SNR). |
