ObjectiveChildren's nighttime fears are a normal part of child development and are transient for most children, but result in considerable distress for others. The present study evaluated a 4-week bibliotherapy intervention designed to treat young children with persistent and interfering nighttime fears utilizing a multiple baseline design.MethodNine children between 5 and 7 years of age with specific phobia diagnoses were randomized into one of three baseline control conditions (1, 2, or 3 weeks). The treatment protocol involved parents reading Uncle Lightfoot, Flip that Switch: Overcoming Fear of the Dark, Academic Version (Coffman, 2012) with their children over 4 weeks while engaging in activities prescribed in the book. Assessments took place at baseline, post treatment, and 1 month following treatment. Daily and weekly tracking of nighttime behaviors was also obtained.ResultsPre-post group analyses revealed that eight of the nine children demonstrated clinically significant change in anxiety severity. In addition, decreases in child-reported nighttime fears were observed, as were parent-reported decreases in separation anxiety and increases in the number of nights children slept in their own bed.ConclusionsThe present study provides initial support for the use of bibliotherapy in the treatment of nighttime fears. Further replication and evaluation are needed to determine appropriate length of treatment and long-term effects. Implications of the findings are discussed.  相似文献

目的 探讨我国阅读疗法临床护理研究发展趋势,并分析其存在问题。 方法 检索Pubmed、Sciencedirect和中国知网等数据库收录的近10年阅读疗法临床护理研究相关文献。由3名研究人员独立对文献进行筛选、编码和制作类目表,并根据类目表进行内容分析。 结果 最终确定1篇硕士论文和46篇期刊论文为内容分析文献。以非手术患者为研究对象占70%;以焦虑、抑郁为研究主题的占59%;采用客观评估法的占74%;采用客观效果评价法的占85%;干预周期4周及以上者占60%;基金资助占23%;有明确质量控制的占47%。 结论 阅读疗法临床护理研究主要应用于恢复期精神分裂症、抑郁症和化疗等非手术患者,集中于焦虑、抑郁等心理问题的解决,且干预周期4周及以上能够确保良好的阅读疗法效果。  相似文献

目的探讨阅读疗法对大学生自我和谐的影响,为开展高校心理健康辅导工作提供依据。方法采用整群抽样法抽取某学院学生80名,随机分成训练组和对照组各40人,训练组采用阅读疗法训练干预,对照组进行常规阅读。训练前与训练后采用自我和谐量表进行评价。结果阅读疗法干预前2组学生自我和谐量表评分差异无统计学意义;干预后,干预组学生自我和谐总分及自我与经验不和谐得分明显低于对照组(P值均<0.05)。阅读疗法干预前,干预组不同年龄、不同性别学生自我与经验不和谐、自我刻板性得分差异均无统计学意义(P值均>0.05);相同年龄的、同性别干预前与干预后自我与经验不和谐、自我和谐总分差异均有统计学意义(P值均<0.05)。结论阅读疗法对大学生自我和谐的有积极影响。  相似文献

目的 探讨阅读疗法对轻中度抑郁症患者病耻感及主观幸福感的影响。方法 选取2018年10月-2019年6月在我院住院的轻中度抑郁症患者104例,采用随机数字表法将其分为观察组和对照组。对照组给予常规治疗和护理,观察组在对照组基础上实施阅读疗法。在阅读疗法实施前和实施4周、8周后采用Link病耻感量表和纽芬兰纪念大学幸福度量表(MUNSH)对阅读疗法的效果进行评定。 结果 2组Link病耻感量表、MUNSH得分在时间、组间、交互效应上比较,差异均有统计学意义(P<0.05 )。 结论 阅读疗法能够有效缓解轻中度抑郁症患者的病耻感,并增强其积极体验和应对能力,提升患者的主观幸福感。  相似文献

BackgroundFamily intervention for psychotic disorders is an integral part of psychiatric treatment with positive effects on patients’ mental state and relapse rate. However, the effect of such family-based intervention on caregivers’ psychological distress and well-being, especially in non-Western countries, has received comparatively much less attention.ObjectivesTo test the effects of guided problem-solving-based manual-guided self-learning programme for family caregivers of adults with recent-onset psychosis over a 6-month period of follow-up, when compared with those in usual family support service.DesignA single-centre randomised controlled trial, which was registered at ClinicalTrials.gov (NCT02391649), with a repeated-measures, two-arm (parallel-group) design.SettingsOne main psychiatric outpatient clinic in the New Territories of Hong Kong.ParticipantsA random sample of 116 family caregiverss of adult outpatients with recent-onset psychosis.MethodsFollowing pre-test measurement, caregivers were assigned randomly to one of two study groups: a 5-month self-help, problem-solving-based manual-guided self-learning (or bibliotherapy) programme (in addition to usual care), or usual family support service only. Varieties of patient and caregiver health outcomes were assessed and compared at baseline and at 1-week and 6-month post-intervention.ResultsOne hundred and eleven (96%) caregivers completed the 6-month follow-up (two post-tests); 55 of them (95%) completed ≥4 modules and attended ≥2 review sessions (i.e., 75% of the intervention). The family participants’ mean age was about 38 years and over 64% of them were female and patient's parent or spouse. Multivariate analyses of variance indicated that the manual-guided self-learning group reported significantly greater improvements than the usual care group in family burden [F(1,110) = 6.21, p = 0.006] and caregiving experience [F(1,110) = 6.88, p = 0.0004], and patients’ psychotic symptoms [F(1,110) = 6.25, p = 0.0003], functioning [F(1,110) = 7.01, p = 0.0005] and number of hospitalisations [F(1,110) = 5.71, p = 0.005] over 6-month follow-up.ConclusionsProblem-solving-based, manual-guided self-learning programme for family caregivers of adults with recent-onset psychosis can be an effective self-help programme and provide medium-term benefits to patients’ and caregivers’ mental health and duration of patients’ re-hospitalisations.  相似文献
