Cavitation for incompressible anisotropic nonlinearly elastic spheres   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4  
In this paper, the effect ofmaterial anisotropy on void nucleation and growth inincompressible nonlinearly elastic solids is examined. A bifurcation problem is considered for a solid sphere composed of an incompressible homogeneous nonlinearly elastic material which is transversely isotropic about the radial direction. Under a uniform radial tensile dead-load, a branch of radially symmetric configurations involving a traction-free internal cavity bifurcates from the undeformed configuration at sufficiently large loads. Closed form analytic solutions are obtained for a specific material model, which may be viewed as a generalization of the classic neo-Hookean model to anisotropic materials. In contrast to the situation for a neo-Hookean sphere, bifurcation here may occur locally either to the right (supercritical) or to the left (subcritical), depending on the degree of anisotropy. In the latter case, the cavity has finite radius on first appearance. Such a discontinuous change in stable equilibrium configurations is reminiscent of the snap-through buckling phenomenon of structural mechanics. Such dramatic cavitational instabilities were previously encountered by Antman and Negrón-Marrero [3] for anisotropiccompressible solids and by Horgan and Pence [17] forcomposite incompressible spheres.  相似文献

The design of a semi-infinite fillet for efficient stress transmission is considered. The problem is treated within the context of anti-plane shear deformations of a homogeneous, isotropic, linearly elastic solid. Under a remote state of simple shear, it is desired to determine the shape of the traction-free lateral boundaries of a symmetric plane domain so that the shear stress distribution on the finite end is as uniform as possible. A semi-inverse approach for a particular class of semi-infinite profiles is used to examine this issue.  相似文献

In this paper we develop a simple micromechanical model of a prestressed polycrystalline aggregate, in which the texture-induced and stress-induced anisotropies of the aggregate are precisely defined; here the word texture always refers to the texture of the aggregate at the given prestressed configuration, not to that of a perhaps fictitious natural state of the aggregate. We use this model to derive, for a prestressed orthotropic aggregate of cubic crystallites, a birefringence formula which shows explicitly the effects of the orthotropic texture on the acoustoelastic coefficients. From this formula we observe that, generally speaking, we cannot separate the total birefringence into two distinct parts, one reflecting purely the influence of stress on the birefringence, and the other encompassing all the effects of texture. The same formula, on the other hand, provides for each material specific quantitative criteria under which the separation of stress-induced and texture-induced birefringence would become meaningful in an approximate sense.  相似文献

Levinson's solution for the problem of a simply supported rectangular plate of arbitrary thickness by normal surface loads is extended to the transversely isotropic and layered case. The exact closed form solution is obtained by using the propagator matrix method in a system of vector functions. As a special case of the layered medium, the normal displacement or deflection of a homogeneous plate of arbitrary thickness by normal surface loads is also given. It is shown that it approaches the classical solution for the transversely isotropic thin plate as the thickness approaches zero on the one hand, and on the other hand reduces to the thick plate expression as given by Levinson when the medium is isotropic.  相似文献

Body points are identified with worldlines—the integral lines of the flux of the property. A class of similarity solutions is obtained for radial motions of spherical and cylindrical bodies made of a certain type of compressible hyperelastic materials. The equations satisfied by the infinitesimal generators of the symmetry group of the unified governing first order field equations for spheres and cylinders are found. It is shown that these equations admit a special class of solutions which generate a five-parameter group of transformations. The form of the strain energy function corresponding to the resulting symmetry group is evaluated. The similarity variable is determined and ordinary differential equations satisfied by similarity solutions are obtained. Numerical solutions are given for a Ko material which falls into the class of admissible materials.  相似文献

Constitutive equations for the resultant forces and moments applied to a shell-like body necessarily couple the influences of the shell geometry and the constitutive nature of the three-dimensional material from which the shell is constructed. Consequently, even when the nonlinear constitutive equation of the three-dimensional material is known, the complicated influence of the shell geometry on the constitutive response of the shell is not known. The main objective of this paper is to develop restrictions on the constitutive equations of nonlinear elastic shells which ensure that exact solutions of the shell equations are consistent with exact nonlinear solutions of the three-dimensional equations for homogeneous deformations. Since these restrictions are nonlinear in nature they provide valuable general theoretical guidance for specific constitutive assumptions about the coupling of material and geometric properties of shells. Examples of the linear theories of a plate and a spherical shell are considered.  相似文献

针对目前各行业数字化、智能化产品应用日趋广泛,数据的获取、传输、分析、应用尤为重要,如何避免采集设备接口单一、功能固定、实用性差等缺点,提出采用ARM嵌入式工控模块M9080-N20为基础,采用VK3266串口芯片扩展UART串行接口,提出基于73K222AU调制解调器、HR219307变压器实现采集器二线模拟通信,并支持以太网、CAN总线和UART串行通信,可以有效解决数据远程采集、传输和控制,适用于特殊环境设备故障检测、诊断和抢修。实验结果证明,智能数据采集器不仅具有多种型号设备故障诊断功能;还能实现野外快速通信组网,不同类型设备数据远程采集、传输、分析和控制功能,在军民融合产品上具有广阔的应用前景和实用价值。  相似文献

In a route towards enantiomerically enriched 1-(β-hydroxypropyl)indoles, which are potentially useful building blocks for high value-added chemicals synthesis, a kinetic resolution approach by means of lipase-catalyzed enantioselective acylation as well as hydrolysis/methanolysis has been elaborated for the first time. The enzymatic resolution of chiral N-substituted indole-based sec-alcohols was successfully accomplished, yielding both enantiomeric forms of the employed derivatives with up to >99% enantiomeric purity via an enantioselective transesterification under mild reaction conditions. The most selective resolutions were obtained using fungal (CAL-B and TLL) and bacterial (PFL and BCL) lipases and vinyl acetate as the acyl?group donor. The synthetic protocol described herein is very simple, user-friendly and efficient, thus paving the way for future access towards more complex compounds of this type. The absolute configurations of novel enantiomeric derivatives, and thus stereoselectivity of the described enzymatic reactions were confirmed by application of CDA-based NMR methodology and single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis.  相似文献
