A hybrid meshless technique based on composition of meshless local Petrov–Galerkin method (for spatial variables) and Newmark finite difference method (for time domain) is developed for natural frequencies analysis of thick cylinder made of functionally graded materials (FGMs). The FG cylinder is assumed to be under suddenly thermal loading, axisymmetric and plane strain conditions. The dynamic behaviors and time history of displacements are obtained in time domain using Green–Naghdi (GN) theory of coupled thermo-elasticity (without energy dissipation). Using fast Fourier transform (FFT) technique, the displacements are transferred to frequency domain and all natural frequencies are illustrated for various grading patterns of FGMs. The variations of mechanical properties in FG thick hollow cylinder are considered to be in nonlinear volume fraction law through radial direction. The presented hybrid meshless technique furnishes a ground to analyze the effects of various grading patterns of FGMs on natural frequencies, which are obtained employing GN coupled thermo-elasticity governing equations. Also, the frequency history and natural frequencies are illustrated for various grading patterns at several points across thickness of cylinder.  相似文献

The non-linear thermo-elasticity response of an orthotropic laminate in a clamped boundary condition is analyzed by means of the method of weighted residuals for its behaviors subject to thermal and mechanical loading. The equation of motion for the laminate's deflection is obtained in the form of a decoupled modal form Duffing equation, without Berger's approximation. The thermal field, with both the in-plane and transverse temperature variations, is incorporated in both a steady-state and transient state. The formulation indicates that a transverse thermal field with a temperature rise produces a load onto the laminate, while the in-plane temperature variation affects the system frequency and stability. We demonstrate the numerical results of the modal response of an isotropic laminate for the thermal buckling and vibration.  相似文献

研究了基于G-N模型与三项延迟模型的热弹性波的传播特征.在各种广义热弹性理论中,热位移概念的引入使得G-N模型具有独特性质而引起广泛的关注和应用.基于G-N模型,最近一个三相延迟模型被提出.主要研究了这两种模型下第一和第二声波(耦合热弹性波)的色散和衰减特性,分析了温度场和位移场在两种模型下的振幅比和相位差.结果发现三相延迟模型更为通用和灵活,应得到更多的关注与应用.  相似文献

基于二维热弹性力学理论,研究均匀热荷载作用下层合简支梁的弹性力学解.首先导出均匀温度场中满足控制微分方程和两端简支边界条件的单层梁的弹性力学解,然后利用层间界面位移和应力必须连续的条件,递推得到底层梁与顶层梁间的位移和应力关系.最后根据层合梁上下表面的边界条件确定待定系数,带回递推公式得到整个层合梁的应力和位移分布.本文方法的计算结果有很好的收敛性.与有限元软件的结果对照说明了本文方法的精确性.最后,研究了不同的变温对层合简支梁的位移和应力的影响,结果显示每个层间界面在x方向的应力是不连续.随着温度的升高,梁的最大位移相应地增大.温度越高,位移沿厚度变化的速率越大.  相似文献

We develop a unified and efficient adjoint design sensitivity analysis (DSA) method for weakly coupled thermo-elasticity problems. Design sensitivity expressions with respect to thermal conductivity and Young's modulus are derived. Besides the temperature and displacement adjoint equations, a coupled field adjoint equation is defined regarding the obtained adjoint displacement field as the adjoint load in the temperature field. Thus, the computing cost is significantly reduced compared to other sensitivity analysis methods. The developed DSA method is further extended to a topology design optimization method. For the topology design optimization, the design variables are parameterized using a bulk material density function. Numerical examples show that the DSA method developed is extremely efficient and the optimal topology varies significantly depending on the ratio of mechanical and thermal loadings.  相似文献

Rubber-like materials and soft tissues exhibit a significant stiffening or hardening in their stress-strain curves at large strains. Considerable progress has been made recently in the phenomenological modeling of this effect within the context of isotropic hyperelasticity. In particular, constitutive models reflecting limiting chain extensibility at the molecular level have been used to accurately capture strain-hardening. Here we generalize such models to isotropic thermoelasticity. We also show that specific non-polynomial strain-energies for both hyperelastic and thermoelastic materials can be obtained on using a modification of a systematic scheme of Rivlin and Signorini. The Rivlin-Signorini method was based on approximation of the strain-energy density function by polynomials whereas here we use the more general class of rational functions to approximate the material response functions. We then propose a simple generalization to thermoelasticity of a constitutive model for incompressible hyperelastic materials reflecting limiting chain extensibility due to Gent (Rubber Chem. Technol. 69 (1996) 59-61). For this new thermoelastic constitutive model we investigate the inhomogeneous deformation problem of axial shear of a circular cylindrical tube.  相似文献

In the present paper, the uniqueness of the solution to the initial boundary value problem of the linear thermo-elastic dynamics on unbounded domains is obtained under less restrictive conditions, including abandoning the positive semi-definiteness of the elasticity tensor and boundness of the material tensor and restrictions on the acoustic tensor and the coupled tensor, and the results in [1] are refined. The conclusion here is valid for the case on bounded domains and the linear elastic dynamics on unbounded domains, hence the results in [2–4] are refined too. Abandoning the positive semi-definiteness of elasticity tensor permits that the uniqueness of the kinetic process is still valid for deformation of the wider materials, especially for the case that there are phase-transition during deformation process provided that the constitutive equations are unchanged in forms. The distribution of stresses due to step input of temperature on the boundaries of a homogeneous transversely isotropic circular disc is investigated by applying Laplace transform technique in the context of generalized theories of thermo-elasticity. The inverse of the transformed solution is carried out by applying a method of Bellman et al. The stresses are computed numerically and presented graphically in a number of figures. A comparison of the results for different theories (CTE, CCTE, TRDTE(GL), TEWED(GN)) and the effect of anisotropy on the stresses are also presented. When the material is isotropic and outer radius of the disc tends to infinity, the corresponding result agrees with that of existing literature.  相似文献
