The rate constant of electron transfer reaction between ferrous ion in aqueous phase and decamethyferrocene located on the adjacent aqueous phase was measured by thin layer method, a simple protocol reported recently for studying electron transfer reaction at liquid/liquid interface. Despite this large increase in overall driving force, the rate constants decrease by less than an order of magnitude compared the two reaction systems of Fe3+-DMFe and Fe(CN)63−-DMFe. The results demonstrate that reorganization energy may be a dominating factor on the rate of electron transfer across the interface due to the effect of the size and symmetry of reactants in aqueous. In addition, the effect of thickness of the thin layers is investigated further. 相似文献

Multi-agent systems require adaptability to perform effectively in complex and dynamic environments. This article shows that agents should be able to benefit from dynamically adapting their decision-making frameworks. A decision-making framework describes the set of multi-agent decision-making interactions exercised by members of an agent group in the course of pursuing a goal or set of goals. The decision-making interaction style an agent adopts with respect to other agents influences that agent's degree of autonomy. The article introduces the capability of Dynamic Adaptive Autonomy (DAA), which allows an agent to dynamically modify its autonomy along a defined spectrum (from command-driven to consensus to locally autonomous/master) for each goal it pursues. This article presents one motivation for DAA through experiments showing that the ‘best’ decision-making framework for a group of agents depends not only on the problem domain and pre-defined characteristics of the system, but also on run-time factors that can change during system operation. This result holds regardless of which performance metric is used to define ‘best’. Thus, it is possible for agents to benefit by dynamically adapting their decision-making frameworks to their situation during system operation. 相似文献

Two novel and air-stable cyanated tetracene derivatives, 5-cyanotetracene (1CT) and 5,11-dicyanotetracene (2CT), were synthesized as high-performance organic semiconductors. The stability of 2CT was evaluated by NMR and the electrochemical property was investigated by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and UV–vis spectrum. The reorganization energy of 2CT predicted by UB3LYP/6-311g(d,p) is 0.0881 eV, which is the lowest among existing compounds. The X-ray crystallographic analysis revealed that the 2CT single crystal has a promising face-to-face packing with a relative short intermolecular distance of 3.403 Å. Based on the theoretical model we previously developed, the calculated hole mobilities of these air-stable cyanated tetracene derivatives in a–b plane are 2.9 cm2 V−1 s−1 for 1CT and 2.2 cm2 V−1 s−1 for 2CT, respectively. These oxygen-resisted organics may offer potential to fabricate the flexible electronics under air conditions. 相似文献

The Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) layers with different selforganization of small, medium, and large size silica nanoparticles, when exposed to the low energy, high fluence ion beam, show reorganization. The reorganization appears as the net effect between the forces caused by charging and by heating of particles, whereas the Coulomb repulsive force between the particles overcomes their adhesion to the Si substrate. The threshold force was estimated for the case of small thermal effects (solid particle on the solid substrate), of higher thermal effects (soft particle on the solid substrate), and of the strong thermal effects (soft particle on the soft substrate), as function of the ion fluence. The increase of fluence causes simultaneous decrease of the Coulomb repulsion and increase of adhesion, so that the mobility of particles decreases affecting the reorganization process. The reorganization depends on the ion fluence, but also on the initial selforganization of the LB layer, being different for the small, medium, and the large size particles. The hydroclusters of small particles become reorganized into “infinite” complex irregular chain-cluster; the small crystal-grains of medium size particles become rhombic and hexagonal clusters, while the 2D hexagonal crystals of large size particles become only slightly disturbed. The reorganization occurs until the increasing ion fluence reaches the reorganization-breakdown-threshold, and overwhelming thermal effects turn the process into particle destruction. 相似文献
