This study aimed to elucidate the genetics of the adult root system in elite Chinese hybrid rice. Several adult root traits in a recombinant inbred line (RIL) population of Xieyou 9308 and two backcross F1 (BCF1) populations derived from the RILs were phenotyped under hydroponic culture at heading stage for quantitative trait locus (QTL) mapping and other statistical analysis. There a total of eight QTLs detected for the root traits. Among of them, a pleiotropic QTL was repeatedly flanked by RM180 and RM5436 on the short arm of chromosome 7 for multiple traits across RILs and its BCF1 populations, accounting for 6.88% to 25.26% of the phenotypic variances. Only additive/dominant QTLs were detected for the root traits. These results can serve as a foundation for facilitating future cloning and molecular breeding.  相似文献

Identifying QTLs/genes for iron and zinc in rice grains can help in biofortification programs. 168 F(7) RILs derived from Madhukar×Swarna were used to map QTLs for iron and zinc concentrations in unpolished rice grains. Iron ranged from 0.2 to 224ppm and zinc ranged from 0.4 to 104ppm. Genome wide mapping using 101 SSRs and 9 gene specific markers showed 5 QTLs on chromosomes 1, 3, 5, 7 and 12 significantly linked to iron, zinc or both. In all, 14 QTLs were identified for these two traits. QTLs for iron were co-located with QTLs for zinc on chromosomes 7 and 12. In all, ten candidate genes known for iron and zinc homeostasis underlie 12 of the 14 QTLs. Another 6 candidate genes were close to QTLs on chromosomes 3, 5 and 7. Thus the high priority candidate genes for high Fe and Zn in seeds are OsYSL1 and OsMTP1 for iron, OsARD2, OsIRT1, OsNAS1, OsNAS2 for zinc and OsNAS3, OsNRAMP1, Heavy metal ion transport and APRT for both iron and zinc together based on our genetic mapping studies as these genes strictly underlie QTLs. Several elite lines with high Fe, high Zn and both were identified.  相似文献

The Landsberg erecta× Columbia recombinant inbred lines (RILs) of Arabidopsis have been used in order to identify and localize chromosome regions involved in the genetic control of the in vitro regeneration ability. Callus morphology (CM) and shoot regeneration (SR) traits have been considered for both leaf and root explants. The MAPMAKER analysis of leaf culture data has revealed at least one chromosome region involved with CM and several with SR, the 29–30 region of chromosome 1 being common for the two traits. Root explants did not segregate for CM but several QTLs have been detected for SR. The chromosome regions involved with leaf culture regeneration seem to be different from those of root cultures, although the regeneration of abnormal shoots in leaf explants share two chromosome regions with the regeneration of normal shoots in root cultures. 7个烤烟产量相关性状的QTL定位分析   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
以烤烟Y3和K326为亲本,采用单粒传法(SSD)获得一个包含262个F6株系的重组自交系群体(RILs)。基于该群体构建了一张含有24个连锁群、626个SSR标记,总长为1 120.45cM的遗传图谱。通过两年一点3次重复的随机区组田间试验,测定了株高、节距、叶数、茎围、茎叶角度、腰叶长和腰叶宽7个与产量相关农艺性状,采用混合线性模型的严格复合区间作图法(rMQM)在烟草全基因组范围内进行QTL扫描分析。结果显示:(1)烤烟7个目标性状在RILs群体内各株系间存在较大范围的连续变异,具有显著的双向超亲分离,且各性状的平均值很接近中亲值;7个农艺性状的平均广义遗传率为73.33%,其中株高和节距的广义遗传率在80%以上,而茎围和茎叶角度的广义遗传率则低于60%,表明7个与烤烟产量相关的农艺性状是既受微效多基因控制又受环境条件影响的数量性状。(2)共检测到30个QTLs分布在9条连锁群上,其中与株高、节距、叶数、腰叶长和腰叶宽相关的5个主效QTLs在连续两年中均可检测到,且具有较大的效应值,可解释大于10%的表型变异。(3)7个目标性状之间存在一定程度的相关性,与之对应在基因组中也存在一些较小区域,每个区域包含2个或2个以上紧密连锁的不同性状的QTLs。烟草产量相关农艺性状的QTL分析和主效QTLs的获得,为进一步利用分子标记辅助选择培育烟草高产新品种奠定了理论基础。  相似文献

Two field experiments with different soybean (Glycine max L.) materials were conducted to investigate the interactions between phosphorus (P) and nitrogen (N) as related to the genetic attributes of root morphological and nodular traits. In experiment one, 13 cultivated soybean varieties were grown in a field with relatively low soil P and N availability. P application with 160 kg P/hm2 as triple superphosphate produced a significant simultaneous increase in the content of both P and N in shoot, demonstrating positive P and N interactions. The addition of P also increased root dry weight, root nodule number, nodule mass, nodule size, and nodulation index, but decreased root length and root surface area, indicating that P may affect N nutrition in soybean through a number of root morphological and nodular traits. Interestingly,like P content, N content appeared to be more correlated with root morphological traits (root weight, root length, and root surface area) than with root nodular traits (nodule number, nodule size, nodule mass, and nodulation index) at both P levels, implying that N taken up by the roots may contribute more to the plant N status than biological N2 fixation under the present experimental conditions. In experiment two, 57 soybean lines of a recombinant inbred line (RIL) population derived from a cross between a cultivated variety and a wild genotype were grown on another field site with moderately sufficient P and N levels to further characterize the genetic attributes of root morphological and nodular traits and their relationships with P and N interactions. The results indicated that all morphological and nodular traits measured continually segregated in the RIL population with a normal distribution of the phenotypic values, indicating that these traits are possibly controlled by quantitative trait loci (QTLs). Genetic analysis revealed that all these root traits had relatively low heritabilities (h2b=74.12, 70.65, 73.76, 56.34, 52.59, and 52.24 for root weight, root length,root surface area, nodule number, nodule mass, and nodule size, respectively), suggesting that root morphology and nodule formation are influenced greatly by environmental factors. Correlation analysis of the RILs showed that shoot N content was significantly correlated with P content, confirming positive P×N interactions. Similar to experiment one, shoot N content was only significantly correlated with root morpho logical traits, but not with root nodular traits, again denoting the fact that the N status in soybean could be attributed more to N uptake from the soil than to biological N2 fixation under the present experimental conditions.  相似文献

A major goal of today's biology is to understand the genetic basis of quantitative traits. This can be achieved by statistical methods that evaluate the association between molecular marker variation and phenotypic variation in different types of mapping populations. The objective of this work was to evaluate the statistical power of quantitative trait loci (QTL) detection of various multi-parental mating designs, as well as to assess the reasons for the observed differences. Our study was based on an empirical data of 20 Arabidopsis thaliana accessions, which have been selected to capture the maximum genetic diversity. The examined mating designs differed strongly with respect to the statistical power to detect QTL. We observed the highest power to detect QTL for the diallel cross with random mating design. The results of our study suggested that performing sibling mating within subpopulations of joint-linkage mapping populations has the potential to considerably increase the power for QTL detection. Our results, however, revealed that using designs in which more than two parental alleles segregate in each subpopulation increases the power even more.  相似文献

利用240份源于组合珍汕97/明恢63的重组自交群体(F11、F12),连续两年进行2重复的随机区组田间试验,运用改进的纹枯病人工接种鉴定的方法,调查其纹枯病病级,结合该组合F9群体构建的分子标记遗传连锁图谱,运用区间作图法对抗纹枯病QTLs进行了定位。两年在第5染色体的相邻区间C624-C246(1999年)和C246-RM26(2000年)上各检测到一个抗纹枯病QTL,两者一个LOD值置信区间存在较大的重叠,而且LOD峰值位点很接近,推测它们可能是同一个QTL。两年在第9染本上均检测到一个QTL,分别位于C472-R26389(1999年)和RM247-RM242(2000年)区间上,两区间相距9.8cM。两年检测到的所有抗纹枯病QTLs均业自明恢63。  相似文献

检测了Lemont/特青RI群体212个株系的糙米率(BR),精米率(MR)和整精米率(HR)等3项加工品质性状,利用RFLP连锁图和线性模型的复合区间作图方法(QTLMapperV1.0)进行QTL定位研究。群体呈边境分布,双向超亲现象明显,HR较BR,MR变异范围更大并偏向低值方向;分别检测到1个MR,4个HR主效QTL,其中QHr6和QHr7等2个基因座具有较大遗传效应;分别检测到12对影响BR、5对影响MR,16对影响HR的上位性基因座,上位性效应的影响大于主效QTLs,不同性状或同一性状上位性效应通过共同的区间形成复杂的互相联系。  相似文献
