For the first time in this study, Zinc oxide nanoparticles were biosynthesized by the eco-friendly and cost-effective procedure using Amygdalus scoparia stem bark extract then used as antibacterial, antifungal, anticancer, and anti-diabetic agents. The characterization techniques confirmed the biosynthesis, crystalline nature, structure, size, elemental composition of ZnO NPs and bioactive compounds that exist in A. scoparia extract accounting for Zn2+ ion reduction, capping and stabilization of ZnO NPs. The ZnO NPs displayed remarkable inhibitory activity against E. coli, E. aerigenes, S. aureus, P. oryzae, F. thapsinum, and F. semitectum compared to antibiotic standards. The ZnO NPs showed significant inhibitory effects on cancer cell lines, while it had no toxic effect on Vero normal cell line. The ZnO NPs (30 mg/kg)-treated diabetic rats showed significantly higher levels of insulin and lower AST, ALT and blood glucose compared with the STZ induced diabetic group and other treated groups (P < 0.05). The ZnO NPs- and extract-treated rats showed significantly higher levels of IR, GluT2, and GCK expression and lower TNFα expression compared with the STZ induced diabetic rats. Our findings showed that ZnO NPs represented an outstanding performance for biological applications.  相似文献

Ferrites are an important group of magnetic materials which are used as absorbers. The incorporation of ferrite and conducting polymer achieves great enhancement in microwave absorption properties. The nanocomposites of hexagonal ferrites embedded by conducting polymers such as polypyrrole, polyaniline and polythiophene (PTH) have been paid much attention. In the present study, strontium hexagonal ferrite doped by Zr and Zn with the final formula of SrFe12-x(ZrZn)0.5xO19 considering x = 0.9 and embedded by PTH was produced to achieve a nanocomposite with the highest microwave absorbing ability. In this study, after synthesis of SrFe12O19(ZrZn)0.5xO19 and PTH, the nanocomposite was prepared by in situ polymerization. Wrapping the ferrite particles and PTH chains could form nanocomposite properly, and therefore acceptable interactions were observable between SrFe12-x(ZrZn)0.5xO19ferrite particles and PTH polymer chains in the composites. Assessing the X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns of SrFe12-x(ZrZn)0.5xO19, PTH, and PTH/SrFe12-x(ZrZn)0.5xO19 nanocomposite indicated that the PTH characteristic peak shifts slightly and its peak intensity reduces, which may be attribute to the coating of PTH polymer chains onto SrFe12-x(ZrZn)0.5xO19 particles. We revealed also lower magnetic properties in the obtained nanocomposite. The morphological assessment also suggested that PTH could effectively coat the SrFe12-x(ZrZn)0.5xO19 particles. The synergistic effect of SrFe12-x(ZrZn)0.5xO19 particle plus PTH leads to microwave absorption percentage higher than 95% by PTH/SrFe12-x(ZrZn)0.5xO19 nanocomposite. Overall, nanocomposite creating by coupling interaction between SrFe12-x(ZrZn)0.5xO19 particles (x = 0.9) and PTH can effectively lead to achieve the highest rate of absorption of electromagnetic waves.  相似文献

Recent increase in the number of digital photos in the content sharing and social networking websites has created an endless demand for techniques to analyze, navigate, and summarize these images. In this paper, we focus on image collection summarization. Earlier methods in image collection summarization consider representativeness and diversity criteria while recent ones also consider other criteria such as image quality, aesthetic or appeal. In this paper, we propose a multi-criteria context-sensitive approach for social image collection summarization. In the proposed method, two different sets of features are combined while each one looks at different criteria for image collection summarization: social attractiveness features and semantic features. The first feature set considers different aspects that make an image appealing such as image quality, aesthetic, and emotion to create attractiveness score for input images while the second one covers semantic content of images and assigns semantic score to them. We use social network infrastructure to identify attractiveness features and domain ontology for extracting ontology features. The final summarization is provided by integrating the attractiveness and semantic features of input images. The experimental results on a collection of human generated summaries on a set of Flickr images demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed image collection summarization approach.  相似文献

This paper presents a resistance-based hydrogen gas sensor using polyaniline (emeraldine)/TiO2 nanocomposite (PT–NC) thin film. It is demonstrated that different gas sensing features can arise when various TiO2 phases (anatase and rutile) are applied. The different wt% of TiO2 phases were dispersed into an acidic solution of aniline monomers and PT–NCs were synthesized by an in-situ self-assembly chemical oxidative polymerization method of aniline. PT–NCs deposited on an epoxy glass substrate having Cu-interdigited electrodes for hydrogen gas sensing at air pressure and room temperature. Our results show that the better sensitivity of the sensor strongly depends on the sensor surface morphology and its components. Furthermore, hydrogen gas sensing mechanism of the sensor based contact areas between Pani chains and TiO2 grains was studied.  相似文献

Uptake to cuprous oxide (Cu2O) nanoparticle synthesis with various particle sizes and shapes via supersaturation chemistry approach (LaMer model) has been conducted. Ascorbic acid and maltodextrine as reducing agents and polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) as a surfactant were utilized for synthesis of Cu2O nanoparticles in aqueous solution. The narrow particle size range was achieved by controlling the kinetics of nucleation and growth of particles to satisfy LaMer theory. This mean was performed utilizing different reducing agents (ascorbic acid and maltodextrin) and also, changing the reducing agent addition condition. The results showed the reducing agent addition condition, varying the size of Cu2O nanoparticles from 89 nm to 74 nm for drop-wisely and at-once routes, respectively. The samples were characterized by XRD, SEM, and UV-Vis spectroscopy. The results indicate the shape of as-prepared cuprous oxide nanoparticles have close relationship with thermodynamic and kinetic conditions, and also reducing addition condition.  相似文献

Acrylic/melamine based automotive clearcoats were prepared by inclusion of functional and conventional additives. The conventional additives used were based on polysiloxane chains without any reactive groups. On the other hand, the functional additives were based on polyacrylate and polysiloxane backbones. The additives were added to the clearcoat formulations at different concentrations. Surface tension, optical properties and rheological behaviors of the clearcoats were studied by tensiometer, gonio-spectrophotometer, rheometric mechanical spectrometer (RMS) and Brookfield techniques. Results showed that addition of both conventional and functional additives reduced the surface tension of the clearcoat up to a certain value of the additive concentration. It was seen that functional additives could reduce surface tension much greater than the conventional ones. The coating clarity and transparency were not affected in presence of conventional additives. However, the functional additives, especially the one having higher molecular weight, reduced the coating transparency. The clearcoat viscosity was increased using functional additives. A shear thickening behavior of the clearcoats loaded with functional additives was seen. The conventional additives did not change the clearcoat viscosity. It was concluded that the additive functionality, molecular weight and chemical structure were influential parameters affecting the final properties.  相似文献

Curcumin, the natural yellow‐colored active principle, also called turmeric yellow, extracted from the perennial herb Curcuma longa L., has potent biological and pharmacological properties such as antioxidant, anti‐inflammatory, antifungal, antibacterial, anti‐ischemic, antitumor, and anticancer actions. The molecular mechanism of the hepatoprotective action of curcumin is due to its antioxidant properties and inhibitory activity against nuclear factor (NF)‐κB that regulates different proinflammatory and profibrotic cytokines. Overall, scientific reports demonstrate that curcumin has high therapeutic ability for treating hepatic disorders. Here is a systematic discussion of the hepatoprotective activity of curcumin and its possible mechanisms of actions.  相似文献
