A novel xanthan gum-co-acrylic acid superabsorbent hydrogel composite was formulated by free radical polymerization reaction of acrylic acid on xanthan gum. Effect of variables like dynamic swelling ratio, equilibrium swelling ratio, drug loading and drug release was investigated. Swelling ratio increases with decrease in crosslinker concentration. Drug release studies were conducted in pH 7.4 and 0.1N HCl. In acidic environment, drug release was low whereas it was sustained release in alkaline. XG4 showed significant swelling and drug release up to 24?hr. Physicochemical evaluation also confirmed it was optimized formulation. Hence XG4-co-AA was optimized for once daily dose of Perindopril Erbumine.  相似文献

A numerical study is performed to discuss the heat and mass transfer on oblique stagnation point flow over a lubricated surface with nonlinear thermal radiation and higher‐order chemical reactions. The problem is formulated using basic conservation laws of mass, momentum, energy, and mass concentration in terms of partial differential equations along with nonlinear boundary conditions. These governing equations are transformed into ordinary differential equations by means of similarity transformations. The system of resulting ordinary differential equations are solved numerically by an implicit finite difference scheme known as the Keller–box method. The quantities elaborated in the problem, such as velocity, temperature, skin friction, and local Nusselt and Sherwood numbers are analyzed for several values of involved parameters. The obtained results are presented through various graphs and tabular data and showed a good agreement with the existing results in the literature, which are the subcases of the present work. The heat transfer rate enhances with nonlinear thermal radiation and mass transfer rate decreases with increasing the order of chemical reaction.  相似文献

2-Monoacylglycerol (2-MAG) is one of the digestion products of dietary lipids. We recently demonstrated that a 2-MAG, 2-arachidonoyl glycerol (2-AG) potently stimulated cholecystokinin (CCK) secretion via cannabinoid receptor 1 (CB1) in a murine CCK-producing cell line, STC-1. CCK plays a crucial role in suppressing postprandial gastric emptying. To examine the effect of 2-AG on gastric emptying, we performed acetaminophen and phenol red recovery tests under oral or intraperitoneal administration of 2-AG in mice. Orally administered 2-AG (25 mg/kg) suppressed the gastric emptying rate in mice, as determined by the acetaminophen absorption test and phenol red recovery test. Intraperitoneal administration of a cholecystokinin A receptor antagonist (0.5 mg/kg) attenuated the gastric inhibitory emptying effect. In addition, both oral (10 mg/kg) and intraperitoneal (0.5 mg/kg) administration of a CB1 antagonist counteracted the 2-AG-induced gastric inhibitory effect. Furthermore, intraperitoneal 2-AG (25 mg/kg) suppressed gastric emptying. These results indicate that 2-AG exhibits an inhibitory effect on gastric emptying in mice, possibly mediated by stimulating both CCK secretion via CB1 expressed in CCK-producing cells and acting on CB1 expressed in the peripheral nerves. Our findings provide novel insights into the 2-MAG-sensing mechanism in enteroendocrine cells and the physiological role of 2-MAG.  相似文献

In this research work, Zinc(II) and Aluminum(III)-IIP's were synthesized by optimizing the amount of methacrylic acid as monomer, divinylbenzene as cross-linker. The IIP's were functionalized with 8-hydroxy quinolone complexes of the two metal ions under thermal conditions by copolymerization with monomer and cross-linker. The IIP's and Non-IIP's were characterized using FT-IR, TGA, and SEM analysis. A quite remarkable difference in the size was observed of the polymers (Zn(II) 1.0 µm and Al(III) 0.1 µm). A stronger affinity was observed with IIP in comparison with Non-IIP at pH 3.1 and 4.5 for Zn(II) and Al(III) ions on their respective polymers.  相似文献

The paper proposes an algorithm for multi-robot coordination and navigation in order to intercept a target at a long distance. For this purpose, a limit cycle based algorithm using a neural oscillator with phase differences is proposed. The state of target is unknown, under the assumption that it is stationary or in motion with constant unknown speed along a straight line. Using the proposed algorithm, a group of robots is intended to move towards the target in such a way that the robots surround it. While moving to the target, self-collision between the robots is avoided. Moreover, a collision avoidance with static obstacles as well as dynamic target is realized. The robots reach the target at a desired distance, keeping uniformly distributed angles around the target. The algorithm is further extended so that a static interception point for the target can be estimated in place of pursuing a dynamic target, which is referred to as a virtual target in this paper. In other words, the robots move towards the virtual target instead of the actual target. The robots ultimately encircle the actual target when they arrive at the virtual target. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified through simulation results.  相似文献

In 2005, the major economies of the world, including the G8 and 5 developing nations (Mexico, India, Brazil, China, and South Africa), along with the United Nations, the International Energy Agency, and the European Union launched the Global Bioenergy Partnership to discuss ways to promote the sustained use and production of biofuels around the globe, reflecting growing concerns for finding economically viable substitutes for petroleum. This paper examines whether and if a vibrant global market in biofuels based on sugarcane-based ethanol is economically feasible. The paper finds that while there is already international trading in biofuels, it is highly limited compared with its potential. In the current climate of accelerating fossil fuel prices, biofuels represent an increasingly attractive displacement for some of our fossil fuel addiction. Not only do they substitute for petrol, but they also produce lower emissions. The paper finds that sugarcane ethanol could make an important contribution to substituting for a portion of petroleum and also offer potential benefits for international development.  相似文献

The chemical composition of the hydrodistillate of aerial parts of Cymbopogon jawarancusa, a natural grass considered as major forage for animal nutrition, used in food because of the presence of sufficient concentration of minerals like calcium and potassium was analysed by capillary GC–FID, GC–MS and 13C NMR. Seventeen constituents representing 97.8% of the total oil with piperitone (58.6%) and elemol (18.6%) as major constituents were identified. In vitro cytotoxicity of the oil and its constituents on human cancer cell lines THP-1 (leukemia), A-549 (lung), HEP-2 (liver) and IGR-OV-1 (ovary) was evaluated by Sulphorhodamine-B assay. The oil was found to be more potent than its components against cancer cell lines tested with IC50 of 6.5 μg/ml (THP-1), 6.3 μg/ml (A-549), 7.2 μg/ml (HEP-2) and 34.4 μg/ml (IGR-OV-1). Antioxidant activity of oil and its constituents was evaluated by DPPH assay. In conclusion, the results demonstrate potent cytotoxic and antioxidant effects of oil, and its components like piperitone, α-pinene, β-caryophyllene and β-elemene.  相似文献

This research presents an autonomous robotic framework for academic, vocational and training purpose. The platform is centred on a 6 Degree Of Freedom (DOF) serial robotic arm. The kinematic and dynamic models of the robot have been derived to facilitate controller design. An on-board camera to scan the arm workspace permits autonomous applications development. The sensory system consists of position feedback from each joint of the robot and a force sensor mounted at the arm gripper. External devices can be interfaced with the platform through digital and analog I/O ports of the robot controller. To enhance the learning outcome for beginners, higher level commands have been provided. Advanced users can tailor the platform by exploiting the open-source custom-developed hardware and software architectures. The efficacy of the proposed platform has been demonstrated by implementing two experiments; autonomous sorting of objects and controller design. The proposed platform finds its potential to teach technical courses (like Robotics, Control, Electronics, Image-processing and Computer vision) and to implement and validate advanced algorithms for object manipulation and grasping, trajectory generation, path planning, etc. It can also be employed in an industrial environment to test various strategies prior to their execution on actual manipulators.  相似文献

We report the effect of carboxyl functionalization of graphene in pacifying its strong hydrophobic interaction with cells and associated toxic effects. Pristine graphene was found to accumulate on the cell membrane causing high oxidative stress leading to apoptosis, whereas carboxyl functionalized hydrophilic graphene was internalized by the cells without causing any toxicity.  相似文献

A new speckle measurement method is proposed by applying a spatial phase shifting method to multi-camera technology in order to perform a high resolution, high speed, and large deformation measurement. It is confirmed that the alignment of optical elements in this method is easier than the ordinary multi-camera methods because the optical system uses only two cameras. The validity of principle of the method is discussed by the results of experiments. It is shown that measurement precision of this method is about 1/50 wavelength in a small deformation measurement. Furthermore, the method is improved for a large deformation measurement method by accumulating the results of the small continuous deformation measurement. The optimum sampling process of the large deformation of an object is proposed in order to detect the phase map of the large deformation. It is confirmed that the large deformation can be precisely measured by this method.  相似文献
