Owing to the good physicochemical compatibility and complementary mechanical properties of Ti3SiC2 and Al2O3, Ti3SiC2/Al2O3 composites are considered as ideal structural materials. However, TiC and TiSi2 typically coexist during the synthesis of Ti3SiC2/Al2O3 composites through an in-situ reaction, which adversely affects the mechanical properties of the resulting composites. In this study, Ti3SiC2/Al2O3 composites were prepared via in-situ hot pressing sintering at 1450 °C. Ge, which was used as a sintering aid, improved the purity and mechanical properties of the Ti3SiC2/Al2O3 composites. This is because Ge replaced some of the Si atoms to compensate the evaporation loss of Si to form Ti3(Si1-xGex)C2, which showed a crystal structure similar to that of Ti3SiC2. Furthermore, the molten Ge accelerated the diffusion reaction of the raw materials, increasing the overall density of the Ti3SiC2/Al2O3 composites. The optimum Ge amount for improving the mechanical properties of the composites was found to be 0.3 mol. The flexural strength, fracture toughness, and microhardness of the composite with the optimum Ge amount were 640.2 MPa, 6.57 MPa m1/2, and 16.21 GPa, respectively. The formation of Ti3(Si1-xGex)C2 was confirmed by carrying out X-ray diffraction, energy dispersive spectroscopy, and transmission electron microscopy analyses. A model crystal structure of Ti3(Si1-xGex)C2 doped with 0.3 mol Ge was established by calculating the solid solubility of Ge. 相似文献

Deep-red light emitting phosphors are widely used in LEDs for indoor plant growth because of the critical role played by red light in plant growth. The luminescence properties of deep-red phosphors are still not well understood at present. An energy transfer strategy is a common and effective method to improve luminescence properties. In principle, the energy transfer process may occur when the sensitizer's emission spectra overlap with the activator's excitation spectra. In this work, Bi3+ and Mn4+ were incorporated into the matrix of Gd2MgTiO6 as sensitisers and activators, respectively. Mn4+ ions tend to occupy the [TiO6] octahedral site and the Bi3+ ions are expected to substituted in the site of Gd3+. The energy transfer process from Bi3+ to Mn4+ was realised and the photoluminescence (PL) intensity of Mn4+ increased with the doping content of Bi3+. Upon excitation at 375 nm, the PL intensity of Mn4+ increased to 116.4% when the doping concentration of Bi3+ reached 0.3%. Finally, the pc-LED devices were prepared by a Gd2MgTiO6:Bi3+, Mn4+ phosphor. The high red luminescence indicated that this phosphor has potential applications in indoor LED lighting. 相似文献

Chemical filters are the most important devices for removing gas-phase pollutants in clean rooms. However, the testing concentration of chemical filters is too high for reflecting their performance in a real clean room environment. This study tested the adsorption performance of chemical filters in the two most commonly used shapes at different concentrations. Then, the Langmuir equation and Wheeler-Jonas kinetic equation were combined to establish an adsorption performance prediction model of chemical filters under actual conditions. The predicted values of the model were in good agreement with the experimental results, which indicated the high accuracy of the prediction model. The model does not need to test the microscopic parameters of the adsorbent and can maintain high accuracy at low concentrations. A fast method for calculating the service life of chemical filters was also presented. Based on this model, the total cost of using a chemical filter with a high carbon content in microelectronic clean rooms could be decreased by 45% due to decreasing the number of filter replacements over 3 months. So a chemical filter with a high carbon content should be preferred over a filter with low resistance in microelectronic clean rooms. 相似文献
