In this paper, we study the stabilization of solutions of an axially moving string of kirchhoff type by a viscoelastic boundary control. We prove that the dissipation produced by the viscoelastic term is sufficient to suppress the transversal vibrations that occur during the axial motion of the string, and we also show that the string displacement decays in an arbitrary rate. When comparing with immobile strings, we conclude that the movement of the string itself produces enough extra damping ensuring the stabilization.  相似文献

Heavy oil and extra heavy oil resources comprise about 75% of petroleum resources. The most important characteristic of heavy oils is their viscosity. Consequently, to extract and prepare these kinds of crude oil for use, great emphasis should be put on viscosity. The present study highlights the application of intelligent model named radial basis function (RBF) network optimized by genetic algorithm for estimation of diluted heavy oil viscosity in presence on kerosene. The input parameters of model were temperature and mass fraction of kerosene. The output of model was viscosity of heavy oil. Genetic algorithm was utilized to optimize the tuning parameters of RBF model. The outcomes of this study showed that the proposed model is accurate in estimation of target data.  相似文献

Many types of shape memory alloys have been used in nuclear reactors and aerospace applications where they are exposed to high levels of various kinds of radiation. The effect of gamma irradiation on the transformation kinetics of thermoelastic transformations in a shape memory CuZnAl alloy was investigated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) with heating/cooling rates of 10, 20, 30 and 40 °C/min. Irradiation doses of 10, 20, 30 and 40 kGy were applied to the samples of the alloy. Changes in Gibbs free energies, entropies and elastic energies were calculated. Reverse transition temperatures A s and A f systematically decreased with increasing doses, although forward transition temperatures M s and M f underwent a minimum value at a dose of 20 kGy. Hysteresis in the transition temperatures changed as an inverse parabolic function of the irradiation dose. The activation energies of transformations were calculated by using Kissinger and Osawa methods.  相似文献

We consider the Timoshenko system without any internal or boundary damping. The system is rather complemented by a heat equation of an unusual type. This type of thermal diffusion has been introduced by Green and Naghdi. It produces a dissipation of energy only when supplemented by a certain type of damping. In this work we consider the case of a thermo-viscoelastic damping and prove that it is strong enough to drive the system to the equilibrium state in an exponential manner.  相似文献

Abstract

In this study, Multilayer Perceptron Artificial Neural Network (MLP-ANN) model and Least Square Support Vector Machine (LSSVM), were developed to predict the thermal performance and pressure loss of nanofluid flow through coils as non-straight pathways. There different coils with various curvature ratios and coil pitches were constructed and used. Stable TiO2 (50?nm)/water nanofluid in different concentrations from 0.0 to 2.0% were prepared using appropriate method. As it is expected, considerable enhancement of heat transfer was achieved by application of nanofluids instead of water in system. Volume concentration of nanofluid, Prandtl number (ranging from 4.82 to 9.11) and Helical number (106.80 to 1282.87) were introduced to the developed models to obtain Nusselt number (9.89 to 53.30) and pressure drop (291.35 to 18784?kPa) as the output data of the models. According to the output results of developed models, MLP-ANN model was able to predict both Nusselt number and pressure drop of nanofluid flow more precisely in comparison to LSSVM model. The developed MLP model of this study exceeded LSSVM model to high correlation coefficient value of 0.97.  相似文献

The junction between the East Anatolian and the Dead Sea fault zones lies close to an unstable F: Transform fault (FFF) triple junction where the African, Eurasian and Arabian plates meet in south-eastern Turkey. The Karasu Basin is an ephemeral rifted structure located close to the junction of these plate boundaries and is expressed by a range of tectono-morphological features. This study uses remote sensing to define tectonic structures and discriminate volcanic rocks linked to rifting within the basin using Landsat Enhanced Thematic Mapper Plus (ETM+) imagery. Prior to advanced image processing stages, images were corrected to eliminate atmospheric scattering effects and determine the best band combination for multi-spectral processing techniques based on statistical methods. Following pre-processing stages, edge detection filters were applied to derive tectonic structures defining the basin. The Brovey transformation, a statistical data merging method, was used to combine reflective multi-spectral bands with the Landsat ETM+?panchromatic band. This method fuses higher spatial data with data of lower spatial value. The western margin of the Karasu Basin is defined by the left-lateral Amanos Fault Zone with a contemporary motion (c. –0.4 mm a?1) probably accommodating most of the left-lateral strike-slip motion between Arabian and African plates on the northern continuation of the Dead Sea Fault Zone. The rift zone has been the site of extensive recent volcanism concentrated within the Brunhes Chron (<0.78 Ma) and linked to fault block rotations between the intracontinental master faults. The boundaries of this activity are defined here using a regolith mapping technique.  相似文献
