Mn has been incorporated in epilayers of the large-gap semiconductor GaN grown by molecular beam epitaxy using a nitrogen plasma cell. Detailed extended X-ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS) studies of a Ga0.98Mn0.02N epilayer confirm that the Mn atoms substitute the Ga atoms, with an increase by 2.7% of the distance to the nearest nitrogen atoms. Near-edge spectroscopy results tend to indicate that the valence state of Mn is slightly higher than 3+, while EXAFS analysis suggests an electron transfer to the N neighbors.  相似文献

Acetobacter pasteurianus, a member of the Alphaproteobacteria, is an acetic acid-producing bacterium present on sugar-rich substrates such as such as fruits, flowers and vegetables and traditionally used in the production of fermented food. The preferred living habitat associated with acid conditions makes the structure of the bacterial cell wall interesting to study, due to expected uncommon features. We have used a combination of chemical, analytical and NMR spectroscopy approaches to define the complete structure of the core oligosaccharide from A. pasteurianus CIP103108 LPS. Interestingly, the core oligosaccharide displays a high concentration of negatively charged groups, structural features that might contribute to reinforcing the bacterial membrane.  相似文献

In this study, unidirectional poly(ether ether ketone)/carbon fiber (CF) composite sheets were elaborated with unsized, epoxy‐sized, and thermoplastic‐sized CFs by hot‐press molding. The thermoplastic sizings that we used were poly(ether imide) (PEI) and poly(ether ketone ketone) oligomer aqueous dispersions. Scanning electron microscopy observation of the composites freeze fractures showed that unlike unsized or epoxy‐sized CFs, the thermoplastic sizings improved the interaction between the fibers and the matrix. A comparative study of the mechanical relaxations by dynamic mechanical analysis was carried out on the different composites before and after immersion in kerosene. At low temperature, the PEI sizing had a significant influence on the β relaxation, particularly after kerosene immersion. The thermoplastic sizings did not modify the glass‐transition temperature but improved the kerosene resistance on the composites. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Appl. Polym. The ITER vacuum vessel (VV) is one of the most critical components in the ITER project. It is on the critical path in the construction schedule and it is also a safety important class component (SIC), providing the first confinement barrier.As a result of reviews and the latest physics analyses, design requirements have been updated (e.g. ELM/VS coils) and a few design changes have to be implemented. This paper covers the updates of the VV vertical and horizontal EM load conditions during asymmetric VDEs, the design analysis of the ELM/VS coils and their interfaces to the VV, the blanket manifold design and the preparation of the technical specification in preparation for the procurement arrangement to be signed.  相似文献

The cytotoxic activities of 23 new isocombretastatin A derivatives with modifications on the B‐ring were investigated. Several compounds exhibited excellent antiproliferative activity at nanomolar concentrations against a panel of human cancer cell lines. Compounds isoFCA‐4 ( 2 e ), isoCA‐4 ( 2 k ) and isoNH2CA‐4 ( 2 s ) were the most cytotoxic, and strongly inhibited tubulin polymerization with IC50 values of 4, 2 and 1.5 μM , respectively. These derivatives were found to be 10‐fold more active than phenstatin and colchicine with respect to growth inhibition but displayed similar activities as tubulin polymerization inhibitors. In addition, cell cycle arrest in the G2/M phase and subsequent apoptosis was observed in three cancer cell lines when treated with these compounds. The disruptive effect of 2 e , 2 k and 2 s on the vessel‐like structures formed by human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC) suggest that these compounds may act as vascular disrupting agents. Both compounds 2 k and 2 s have the potential for further prodrug modification and development as vascular disrupting agents for treatment of solid tumors.  相似文献

This article presents a procedure for the design of bulk acoustic wave (BAW) filters. The procedure consists of optimizing the modified Butterworth‐Van Dyke model of each resonator, considering appropriate technological parameters. The approach is demonstrated first to design a classical aluminum nitride‐based BAW filter but remains valid for other piezoelectric layers, considering either longitudinal or transverse acoustic wave coupling. Purified porcine thyroglobulin (Tg) was fractionated on a concanavalin A-Sepharose 4B column by a step-wise elution with increasing concentrations of methyl alpha-mannoside (fraction A, 50 mM; B, 100 mM; C, 200 mM; D, 500 mM, and E, 1 M), and its fractional ratio was 12.8:28.6:26.4:19.7:12.4. These five fractions showed the same profile in polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. The subfractions were analyzed for their relative contents in oligosaccharides of each structure type and for their monosaccharide contents. In fractions B, C, D, and E the former varied between 15-22% for triantennary complex-type, 47-60% for biantennary complex-type, and 22-30% for high mannose-type oligosaccharide. Fraction A showed a higher percentage of triantennary complex-type structures (36%) and a lower percentage of biantennary complex-type structures (17%). The monosaccharide numbers increased from fraction A to E: 85 to 135 mannose residues, 60 to 82 galactose residues, 84 to 115 N-acetyl glucosamine residues, and 22 to 28 sialic acid residues. After analysis of the number of mannose residues contained in the high mannose-type structures, it was possible to calculate the number of oligosaccharides borne by each Tg subfraction. This number was approximately the same for fractions A and B (22.4 and 21.7), then it increased from B to E (21.8 to 32.9). These results account for the separation obtained on the concanavalin A-Sepharose 4B column. Separation of the two first subfractions bearing the same number of oligosaccharides is certainly due to the higher number of high mannose-type structures in B. In conclusion, the studies reported here show that porcine Tg is heterogeneous, and mainly so in terms of total number of N-glycan structures.  相似文献
