SnO2-coated TiNb2O7 powders were synthesized via the solution coating method in the present research. The SnO2 layers with a thickness of 3–5 nm were homogeneously coated on the surface of TiNb2O7 particles. TiNb2O7 coated with SnO2 of 5 mol% with high Li+ diffusion coefficient delivered the discharge capacity of 319.5 mAh/g, which was 6.6% higher than that of the non-coated samples. The enhancement of capacity for the coated TiNb2O7 was owing to the low charge-transfer resistance of 17.5 Ω in contrary to the non-coated TiNb2O7 (27.8 Ω). SnO2-coated TiNb2O7 possessed an improved capacity retention of 85.2% at 5 C after 100 cycles, superior to the non-coated TiNb2O7 (79.8%). On the other hand, the excessive amounts of SnO2 coating led to the reduction in the capacity of the prepared samples. The excessive amounts of SnO2 layers suppressed the Li+ diffusion and increased the charge-transfer resistance. The obtained results in this study indicated that coating of TiNb2O7 with appropriate amounts of SnO2 significantly improved the electrochemical performance of TiNb2O7.  相似文献

Explosive growth of big data demands efficient and fast algorithms for nearest neighbor search. Deep learning-based hashing methods have proved their efficacy to learn advanced hash functions that suit the desired goal of nearest neighbor search in large image-based data-sets. In this work, we present a comprehensive review of different deep learning-based supervised hashing methods particularly for image data-sets suggested by various researchers till date to generate advanced hash functions. We categorize prior works into a five-tier taxonomy based on: (i) the design of network architecture, (ii) training strategy based on nature of data-set, (iii) the type of loss function, (iv) the similarity measure and, (v) the nature of quantization. Further, different data-sets used in prior works are reported and compared based on various challenges in the characteristics of images that are part of the data-sets. Lastly, different future directions such as incremental hashing, cross-modality hashing and guidelines to improve design of hash functions are discussed. Based on our comparative review, it has been observed that generative adversarial networks-based hashing models outperform other methods. This is due to the fact that they leverage more data in the form of both real world and synthetically generated data. Furthermore, it has been perceived that triplet-loss-based loss functions learn better discriminative representations by pushing similar patterns together and dis-similar patterns away from each other. This study and its observations shall be useful for the researchers and practitioners working in this emerging research field.

A tricyclazole selective chitosan/Fe3O4 magnetic molecularly imprinted polymer (MMIP) was synthesized using non-covalent binding polymerization involving methacrylic acid (MAA) as functional monomer, divinylbenzene (DVB-80) as crosslinker, 2,2'-azobisisobutyronitrile as initiator, acetonitrile/toluene (75:25, v/v) as porogenic solvent and tricyclazole as template. Surface morphology and magnetic characterization of the prepared imprinted and non-imprinted polymers were done using scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectrometry and vibrating sample magnetometry, respectively. The adsorption kinetic data fitted best in pseudo-second-order model. The adsorption equilibrium was achieved in 30 min and the maximum binding capacity was 4579.9 µg/g. The Freundlich isotherm model was found suitable for explaining the binding isotherm data (R2 > 0.99). Negative values of thermodynamic parameters ∆G (Gibb’s free energy), ∆H (enthalpy), and ∆S (entropy) revealed exothermic and spontaneous nature of adsorption processes. It also revealed decreased randomness at the solid–liquid interface during sorption. The scatchard plot analysis suggested heterogeneity of binding sites on MMIPs. The molecular recognition selectivity of MMIPs towards tricyclazole was much higher, as compared to its structural analogues, tebuconazole (α = 28.58) and hexaconazole (α = 37.16). The MMIPs were successfully applied to separate and enrich tricyclazole from fortified samples of rice and water, with a recovery percentage of 89.4% and 90.9%, respectively. These reusable imprinted polymers possessing high selectivity and specificity can be utilized as an adsorbent for solid-phase extraction in sample preparation for tricyclazole residue analysis in complex environmental matrices.

Glioblastoma (GBM) is the most malignant brain tumor in adults, with a dismal prognosis despite aggressive multi-modal therapy. Immunotherapy is currently being evaluated as an alternate treatment modality for recurrent GBMs in clinical trials. These immunotherapeutic approaches harness the patient’s immune response to fight and eliminate tumor cells. Standard MR imaging is not adequate for response assessment to immunotherapy in GBM patients even after using refined response assessment criteria secondary to amplified immune response. Thus, there is an urgent need for the development of effective and alternative neuroimaging techniques for accurate response assessment. To this end, some groups have reported the potential of diffusion and perfusion MR imaging and amino acid-based positron emission tomography techniques in evaluating treatment response to different immunotherapeutic regimens in GBMs. The main goal of these techniques is to provide definitive metrics of treatment response at earlier time points for making informed decisions on future therapeutic interventions. This review provides an overview of available immunotherapeutic approaches used to treat GBMs. It discusses the limitations of conventional imaging and potential utilities of physiologic imaging techniques in the response assessment to immunotherapies. It also describes challenges associated with these imaging methods and potential solutions to avoid them.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Wireless Interoperability for Multiple Access (WiMAX) is one of the emerging fields of high-speed wireless communication that has enormous capabilities due to its range and the connection speed. Like wireless local area networks (LANs), WiMAX networks implement multiple quality of service (QoS) frameworks at the Media Access Control (MAC) level for assured data, voice, and video services. The question of ensuring QoS is basically how to distribute available resources to users in order to satisfy QoS parameters such as latency, jitter and throughput requirements. IEEE 802.16 standard does not have any particular guidelines on scheduling of incoming and outgoing data. This has caught the attention of researchers working on WiMAX. This article discusses the various issues in WiMAX along with a classification of various scheduling approaches based upon the type of scheduler for the sake of better understanding the scheduling problem and analyzing various available theories.  相似文献
