Multimodality image registration via pixel migration is a powerful approach. However, it suffers from a serious problem--the global maximum on the sum of squared gradient magnitude (SSG) surface does not correspond to the correct solution of registration. To solve the problem, we partition the search space into feasible and infeasible regions. The genetic algorithm (global optimizer) is used to obtain a good initial estimate of registration parameters and followed by a fast refining with Powell's approach (local optimizer). The experimental results demonstrate that the use of this modified pixel migration algorithm on multisensor image registration is very effective.  相似文献

In polyolefin processes the melt index (MI) is the most important control variable indicating product quality. Because of the difficulty in the on-line measurement of MI, a lot of MI estimation and correlation methods have been proposed. In this work a new dynamic MI estimation scheme is developed based on system identification techniques. The empirical MI estimation equation proposed in the present study is derived from the 1 st -order dynamic models. Effectiveness of the present estimation scheme was illustrated by numerical simulations based on plant operation data including grade change operations in high density polyethylene (HDPE) processes. From the comparisons with other estimation methods it was found that the proposed estimation scheme showed better performance in MI predictions. The virtual sensor model developed based on the estimation scheme was combined with the virtual on-line analyzer (VOA) to give a quality control system to be implemented in the actual HDPE plant. From the application of the present control system, significant reduction of transition time and the amount of off-spec during grade changes was achieved  相似文献

Association mining techniques search for groups of frequently co-occurring items in a market-basket type of data and turn these groups into business-oriented rules. Previous research has focused predominantly on how to obtain exhaustive lists of such associations. However, users often prefer a quick response to targeted queries. For instance, they may want to learn about the buying habits of customers that frequently purchase cereals and fruits. To expedite the processing of such queries, we propose an approach that converts the market-basket database into an itemset tree. Experiments indicate that the targeted queries are answered in a time that is roughly linear in the number of market baskets, N. Also, the construction of the itemset tree has O(N) space and time requirements. Some useful theoretical properties are proven.  相似文献

The utility of the laser Doppler for determining burn depth has been questioned because of problems with technology and methodology. This study prospectively evaluates the ability of a new laser Doppler technique to predict burn healing time. Using the Periflux System 4000 laser Doppler, readings were taken on 305 burns (147 patients) on postburn day 3 or 4. Sixty-six wounds were used to derive a predictive function (phase I) and 152 wounds were used to test the function (phase II). Blood flow dynamics (flux), microvascular dilation capacity of the wounds to beat stress, and flow motion wave pattern (vasomotion) were studied using the laser Doppler, and seven parameters were evaluated to determine their relative contribution to the prediction of healing time. These parameters are hyperemic flux (flux value after heating to 42 degrees C), average hyperemic wave amplitude (AHWA), number of average flux units >100(F100), number readings with wave amplitude 75 (A5), average flux change (AFC), percentage of average flux increase, and relative flow capacity (RFC = AFC/average hyperemic flux). After readings were made, the wounds were observed and divided into two groups: those that healed in less than 14 days and those that healed or were grafted after 14 days. A step-wise discriminant analysis was used to assess the relative contribution of the Doppler-derived measures to healing time prediction. AHWA, F100, and RFC were included in the final discriminant function explaining 72% of the healing time variance (Wilks' lambda value 0.28; p value <0.0001). Predicted outcome = 0.05(AHWA) + 0.31(F100) + 5.0(RFC) - 2.3. With this derived function, there is 94% accuracy in the prediction of burn wound healing time compared with a physician predictive accuracy of 70%.  相似文献

A new process for the fabrication of high current and very low profile micromachined inductors has been developed. This process involves the combination of mechanical lamination and electrodeposition of copper windings by means of LIGA-like lithography through thick epoxy photoresists. The dimension of the fabricated inductor is 16 mm×19 mm×1 mm. This article introduces a new tool to measure the pressure that is under pressure garments. The Iscan (Tekscan, Inc.) system uses a patented ultra-thin (0.007 inch) sensor with multiple sensing locations that sample continuously at 100 times per second. It is noninvasive, convenient, and quick. The study had two parts. First, we established the validity and reliability of the device. Next, garment/scar interface pressures were measured on new garments with use of the Iscan system. Four garment types were studied, with 10 measurements made in each group: Isotoner gloves (Smith & Nephew Roylan, Inc.); custom-fit pressure gloves; Tubigrip forearm sleeves (Seton Health Care Group); and custom-fit pressure forearm sleeves. Mean garment/scar interface pressures were 18 +/- 2 mm Hg for the Isotoner glove, 34 +/- 5 mm Hg for the custom-fit pressure glove, 20 +/- 7 mm Hg for the Tubigrip sleeve, and 35 +/- 6 mm Hg for the custom-fit sleeve. We concluded that the Iscan system can be used to measure pressure under pressure garments accurately and reliably, and that custom-fit hand and forearm garments provide more pressure than Isotoner gloves or Tubigrip sleeves.  相似文献

The two-dimensional problem of an edge crack in a half space or plate is considered. The body is loaded by a suddenly applied, spatially uniform normal velocity imposed on the plane boundary of the body on one side of the edge crack. Otherwise, the boundary of the body, including the crack faces, is traction free. Both cases of an initially sharp crack tip and a narrow notch with small but nonzero notch root radius are considered. The material is modeled as elastic viscoplastic, including strain hardening, rate sensitivity and thermal softening. The applied loading produces predominantly mode II loading in the crack tip region. Under these conditions it is possible to nucleate an adiabatic shear band at the crack tip as a precursor to a mode II fracture. On the other hand, because of the rate sensitivity of the material and the high rate of loading, it may be possible under certain conditions to generate tensile stresses in the crack tip region sufficiently large to nucleate brittle tensile fracture. The problem is solved numerically by means of the finite element method in order to investigate the competition between these two possible fracture initiation mechanisms. The magnitude of the impact velocity imposed on the edge of the plate and the notch tip acuity have an effect on processes near the crack tip. For given material, the inception of crack growth is determined by the competition between a stress-based brittle fracture condition, associated with rate sensitivity and strain hardening, and a strain based criterion, associated with high strain rate and thermal softening.  相似文献
