Refractory objects and materials for continuous steel casting

In the OAO Borovich Refractory Combine production has been assimilated for a complete set of refractories for continuous steel casting, i.e. from a pipe for protecting a stream of metal to a submerged nozzle. In technical and life characteristics the products correspond to that of world analogs, they provide accident free steel pouring, make it possible to reduce the specific consumption of refractories per ton of steel, to increase CBCM productivity, to reduce billet scrap, and to reduce steel cost. Improvement of OAO BKO oxide-carbon refractories

Properties are provided for oxide-carbon refractories produced by OAO BKO, used for lining various zones of steel-pouring ladles and converters. The dynamics of lining life for a OAO NLMK 350-ton converter, executed with refractories produced by OAO BKO, are demonstrated.     

Use of oxide-carbon refractory sets supplied by OAO BKO in metallurgical units

The main areas of activity of OAO BKO (Open Joint Stock Corporation Borovich Refractory Combine) for the production and supply of sets of oxide-carbon refractory objects and subsidiary materials intended for the working layer of metallurgical units are considered. Results for the operation of the refractories supplied to metallurgical units, and prospects for joint work for increasing the operating life of linings are presented.     

Refractory products of the BKO company for lining hot-metal charging ladles and hot-metal-car ladles

This article describes the range of carbon-bearing products made by the Borovichi Refractories Combine to line hot-metal charging ladles and hot-metal-car ladles. The specifications of the products are presented along with results from their use in ladle linings.     

Competitiveness of products: A key to success in an incipient market economy

The Borovichi Refractory Plant has organized the production of new advanced refractories, including graphite-containing articles for continuous casting of steel, a variety of mullite-corundum articles, mortars, and refractories for lining blast furnaces. The prospects for refractory production are considered. Functional carbonized refractories

Functional carbonized refractories for the lining of steel ladles have been developed. Results of tests carried out on 400-ton steel ladles under industrial conditions are reported. Operating experience of the working layer of a 350-ton converter in CW-2 of OAO Novolipetsk Metallurgical Combine

Periclase-carbon linings made from objects supplied by OAO Borovichi Refractory Combine have been tested under operating conditions of converter workshop No. 2 at OAO NLMK in 2007–2008.
