Bacterial pathogens sense specific cues associated with different host niches and integrate these signals to appropriately adjust the global gene expression. Bordetella pertussis is a Gram-negative, strictly human pathogen of the respiratory tract and the etiological agent of whooping cough (pertussis). Though B. pertussis does not cause invasive infections, previous results indicated that this reemerging pathogen responds to blood exposure. Here, omics RNA-seq and LC–MS/MS techniques were applied to determine the blood-responsive regulon of B. pertussis. These analyses revealed that direct contact with blood rewired global gene expression profiles in B. pertussis as the expression of almost 20% of all genes was significantly modulated. However, upon loss of contact with blood, the majority of blood-specific effects vanished, with the exception of several genes encoding the T3SS-secreted substrates. For the first time, the T3SS regulator BtrA was identified in culture supernatants of B. pertussis. Furthermore, proteomic analysis identified BP2259 protein as a novel secreted T3SS substrate, which is required for T3SS functionality. Level set method [S. Osher, J. Sethian, J. Comput. Phys. 79 (1988) 12] is a highly robust and accurate computational technique for tracking moving interfaces in various application domains. It originates from the idea to view the moving front as a particular level set of a higher dimensional function, so the topological merging and breaking, sharp gradients and cusps can form naturally, and the effects of curvature can be easily incorporated. The resulting equations, describing interface surface evolution, are of Hamilton-Jacobi type and they are solved using techniques developed for hyperbolic equations. In this paper we describe an extension of the sparse field method for solving level set equations in the case of non-convex Hamiltonians, which are common in the simulations of the profile surface evolution during plasma etching and deposition processes. Sparse field method itself, developed by Whitaker [R. Whitaker, Internat. J. Comput. Vision 29 (3) (1998) 203] and broadly used in image processing community, is an alternative to the usual combination of narrow band and fast marching procedures for the computationally effective solving of level set equations. The developed procedure is applied to the simulations of 3D feature profile surface evolution during plasma etching process, that include the effects of ion enhanced chemical etching and physical sputtering, which are the primary causes of the Hamiltonian non-convexity. 相似文献

kinds of tasks. This forces the researchers to develop an appropriate mathematical model to support simulation, design, and
control of these systems. Another important fact is that today’s, and especially tomorrow’s, humanoid robots will be more
and more humanlike in their shape and behavior. A dynamic model developed for an advanced humanoid robot may become a very
useful tool for the dynamic analysis of human motion in different tasks (walking, running and jumping, manipulation, various
sports, etc.). So, we derive a general model and talk about a human-and-humanoid simulation system. The basic idea is to start

In this paper, we continue the research on formal treatment of attributes of information, based on the computational approach. In this scenario, the usefulness of advisory information is measured by the decrease in complexity of a problem we need to solve. Three series of hyperbranched urethane-acrylates (HB-UA), based on aliphatic hyperbranched polyesters and polyethyleneglycol acrylate, were prepared and evaluated for use in UV-curable coatings. UV-curing kinetics were monitored by FT-IR spectroscopy. The thermal and mechanical properties of UV-cured HB-UA were investigated by means of differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA) and correlated to the mechanical properties of coatings (hardness and flexibility). These new HB-UA's are very reactive and did not show oxygen inhibition. Obtained coatings have good mechanical properties and solvent resistance. 相似文献

We present improved variations of the BNDM algorithm for exact string matching. At each alignment our bit-parallel algorithms process a q-gram before testing the state variable. In addition we apply reading a 2-gram in one instruction. Our point of view is practical efficiency of algorithms. Urban environments possess many regularities which can be efficiently exploited for 3D dense reconstruction from multiple
widely separated views. We present an approach utilizing properties of piecewise planarity and restricted number of plane
orientations to suppress reconstruction and matching ambiguities causing failures of standard dense stereo methods. We formulate
the problem of the 3D reconstruction in MRF framework built on an image pre-segmented into superpixels. Using this representation,
we propose novel photometric and superpixel boundary consistency terms explicitly derived from superpixels and show that they
overcome many difficulties of standard pixel-based formulations and handle favorably problematic scenarios containing many
repetitive structures and no or low textured regions. We demonstrate our approach on several wide-baseline scenes demonstrating
