Tin doped indium oxide (ITO) thin films were prepared by sol–gel spin coating method with In (NO3)·3H2O and SnCl4·5H2O as indium and tin sources, respectively. The as deposited samples were annealed at various temperature such as, 300, 400, 500 and 600?°C for 2 h in ambient atmosphere. The grown ITO thin films are polycrystalline in nature with cubic structure of In2O3 with the space group La3 and the results are in good agreement with the standard JCPDS data (card no#06-0416). In addition crystalline size increases with increasing annealing temperature from 25 to 55 nm. Polycrystalline with uniform smooth surface was observed by SEM micrographs. The optical band gap energy was found to be decreased from 3.85 to 3.23 eV as the annealing temperature is increased from 300 to 600?°C. The humidity sensing performance (high sensitivity and fast response time) was significantly improved for 600?°C thin films samples, which is probably due to smaller energy band gap and physisorption between the water molecules and the surface of the thin films. The films were further characterized by PL and EDS analysis. The effect of temperature on humidity sensing mechanism of ITO thin films is also discussed.  相似文献

An aqueous mixture of ammonium oxalate and ammonium hydroxide was used to coprecipitate barium and strontium ions as oxalates and niobium ions as hydroxide under basic conditions. This precursor on calcining at 750°C yielded Sr0.5Ba0.5Nb2O6 phase. This is a much lower temperature than that prepared by traditional solid state method (1000°C) as reported for the formation of Sr0.5Ba0.5Nb206 (SBN). Transmission electron microscopic (TEM) investigations revealed that the average particle size was 80 nm for the calcined powders. The room temperature dielectric constant at 1 kHz was found to be 1100. The ferroelectric hysteresis loop parameters of these samples were also studied.  相似文献

Abstract

We report, here, the corrosion inhibition of mild steel specimen in 1?M HCl by tamarind fruit pulp aqueous (TFPA) extract. The inhibition property in the presence of TFPA extract is studied using weight loss, polarization measurement and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The inhibitor efficiency is found to vary from 74% to 88% (weight loss method) with TFPA concentration of 100–600?ppm. The reduction in Tafel slopes shows that TFPA acts as a mixed-type inhibitor. The adsorption of the inhibitor on the metal surface follows Langmuir isotherm. The standard Gibbs free energy of adsorption value of –40?kJ/mol suggests the chemisorption of inhibitor molecules via coordinate bond. AFM results exhibit a decrease in the surface roughness of mild steel, exposed to 1?M HCl from 299?±?12 to 154?±?6.6?nm, with increasing concentration of inhibitor from 0 to 600?ppm due to the uniform coverage of inhibitor molecules on the metal surface. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy de-convoluted high resolution profiles of C 1?s (carbon) for mild steel exposed to 1?M HCl with 600?ppm inhibitor show major peaks corresponding to sp3 C–C/C–H (284.9?eV) and oxygen bondings in C–OH, C=O, COOH with a binding energy of 285.9, 286.9, 288.5?eV, respectively, thereby confirming the adsorption of organic moieties on mild steel surface. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy further confirms the adsorption of inhibitor molecules on the metal surface. Therefore, tamarind fruit pulp extract is a potential corrosion inhibitor for mild steel, which is cost-effective, green and non-toxic.  相似文献

Segmentation plays vital role in speech recognition systems. An automatic segmentation of Tamil speech into syllable has been carried out using Vowel Onset Point (VOP) and Spectral Transition Measure (STM). VOP is a phonetic event used to identify the beginning point of the vowel in speech signals. Spectral Transition Measure is performed to find the significant spectral changes in speech utterances. The performance of the proposed syllable segmentation method is measured corresponding to manual segmentation and compared with the exiting syllable method using VOP and Vowel Offset Point (VOF). The result of the experiments shows the effectiveness of the proposed system.  相似文献

This paper investigates decentralized event-triggered stability analysis of neutral-type BAM neural networks with Markovian jump parameters and mixed time varying delays. We apply the decentralized event triggered approach to the bidirectional associative memory (BAM) neural networks to reduce the network traffic and the resource of computation. A bidirectional associative memory neural networks is constructed with the mixed time varying delays and Markov process parameters. The criteria for the asymptotically stability are proposed by using with the Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional method, reciprocal convex property and Jensen’s inequality. Stability condition of neutral-type BAM neural networks with Markovian jump parameters and mixed delays is established in terms of linear matrix inequalities. Finally three numerical examples are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed results  相似文献

A novel method of introducing a synthesized organic nitrogenous compound 2,6 (N-pyrazolyl)isonicotinic acid (BNIN) and its effect on the conduction behavior of poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVdF)–poly(ethylene oxide) (PEO) polymer-blend electrolyte with potassium iodide (KI) and iodine (I2) and the corresponding performance of the dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) were studied. A systematic investigation of the blends using FTIR provides evidence of interaction of BNIN with the polymer. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) study proves the miscibility of these polymers. Due to the coordinating and plasticizing effects of BNIN, the ionic conductivity of polymer blend electrolytes is enhanced. The efficiency of DSSC using BNIN doped polymer blend electrolyte was 7.3% under an illumination of 60 mW cm−2 were observed for the best performance of a solar cell in this work.  相似文献
