A new and efficient method for preparation of optically active poly(styrene–divinylbenzene) copolymers (PS-DVB) is presented here. This is carried out by Friedel–Crafts acylation reaction of chiral N-phthaloyl -leucine acid chloride with PS-DVB beads in the presence of aluminum chloride as Lewis acid catalyst and 1,2-dichloroethane as the solvent at ambient temperature. Reagents’ amounts and reaction conditions are mentioned and four samples with different amounts of functionality have been prepared. Final products were characterized by FT-IR and elemental analysis. The results obtained confirm that the above modification in preparation of chiral supported PS-DVB has been achieved well and in moderate yield.  相似文献

A number of recent initiatives in both academia and industry have sought to achieve improvements in e-businesses through the utilization of Business Process Management (BPM) methodologies and tools. However there are still some inadequacies that need to be addressed when it comes to achieving alignment between business goals and business processes. The User Requirements Notation (URN), recently standardized by ITU-T, has some unique features and capabilities beyond what is available in other notations that can help address alignment issues. In this paper, a URN-based framework and its supporting toolset are introduced which provide business process monitoring and performance management capabilities integrated across the BPM lifecycle. The framework extends the URN notation with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other concepts to measure and align processes and goals. An example process for controlling access to a healthcare data warehouse is used to illustrate and evaluate the framework. Early results indicate the feasibility of the approach.  相似文献

Elucidation of the molecular mechanism of silver nanoparticle (AgNP) synthesis is necessary to control nanoparticle size, shape, and monodispersity. In this study, the mechanism of AgNP formation by Neurospora intermedia was investigated. The higher production rate of AgNP formation using a culture supernatant heat‐treated at 100° and 121°C relative to that with an un‐treated culture supernatant indicated that the native form of the molecular species is not essential. The effect of the protein molecular weight (MW) on the nanoparticle size distribution and average size was studied by means of ultraviolet–visible spectroscopy and dynamic light scattering. Using un‐treated and concentrated cell‐free filtrate passed through 10 and 20 kDa cut‐off filters led to the production of AgNPs with average sizes of 25, 30, and 34 nm, respectively. Also, using the permeate fraction of cell‐free filtrate passed through a 100 kDa cut‐off filter led to the formation of the smallest nanoparticles with the narrowest size distribution (average size of 16 nm and polydispersity index of 0.18). The electrodiffusion method has been used in fluid dynamic research for the past 50 years. It allows the measurement of wall shear stress, a crucial parameter, e.g., for the cleaning of membrane modules used in water filtration. Various authors have published articles dealing with the theory behind this technique. But no paper collects all the knowledge assembled over five decades of application. Here, comprehensive summary of the theory of steady flow, unsteady flow, and transient voltage step experiments is given. Factors influencing the accuracy of the measurements are discussed. Furthermore, a new approach to calibrate the system from voltage step experiments is introduced, and practical issues related to its application in flow measurements are discussed for an exemplary signal response to a near‐wall flow.  相似文献

Providing an efficient resource allocation mechanism is a challenge to computational grid due to large-scale resource sharing and the fact that Grid Resource Owners (GROs) and Grid Resource Consumers (GRCs) may have different goals, policies, and preferences. In a real world market, various economic models exist for setting the price of grid resources, based on supply-and-demand and their value to the consumers. In this paper, we discuss the use of multiagent-based negotiation model for interaction between GROs and GRCs. For realizing this approach, we designed the Market- and Behavior-driven Negotiation Agents (MBDNAs). Negotiation strategies that adopt MBDNAs take into account the following factors: Competition, Opportunity, Deadline and Negotiator’s Trading Partner’s Previous Concession Behavior. In our experiments, we compare MBDNAs with MDAs (Market-Driven Agent), NDF (Negotiation Decision Function) and Kasbah in terms of the following metrics: total tasks complementation and budget spent. The results show that by taking the proposed negotiation model into account, MBDNAs outperform MDAs, NDF and Kasbah.  相似文献

Soil contamination by petroleum contaminants and their derivatives has harmful effects on the environment, including groundwater and marine contamination and on the geotechnical properties of the soil. It decreases the soil strength, bearing capacity of foundations, and slope and trench stability. Petroleum contaminants can also alter the structure of cohesive granular soil. The present study examined the effect of acidic sludge and dirt filter contaminants from a burnt oil refinery on the compaction parameters and strength of clayey sand. Proctor compaction and direct shear tests were performed on soil samples containing 0%, 3%, 6%, and 9% of these pollutants. Direct shear tests were performed at different depths and stresses on soil samples from sandy soil contaminated with the residue from a burnt oil refinery. The results showed that with approximately 4 to 5% increase in pollution, the maximum dry soil unit weight increases and decreases with the addition of more contaminants. Also, the friction and dilatancy angles of the soil decreased. The sample containing 9% pollutants recorded the most significant decrease in these values. The effect of surface-active agents on acidic sludge caused an increase in the Van der Waals force between the particles, resulting in an increase in soil cohesion. Contamination with 47.7% SiO2 from the dirt filter increased the soil cohesion parameter. Under similar experimental and loading conditions, an increase in the acidic sludge and dirt filter contents decreased the soil shear strength and dilatancy angle.

Studying the behavior of anisotropic particles at fluid interfaces is a rapidly expanding field, as understanding how the introduced anisotropy affects the resulting properties is essential in the engineering of interfacial systems. Surface anisotropic particles, also known as Janus particles (JPs), offer new possibilities for novel applications due to their amphiphilicity and stronger binding to fluid interfaces compared to homogeneous particles. Introducing surface anisotropy creates complexity as the orientation of interfacially bound particles affects interparticle interactions, a contributing factor to the microstructure formation. In this work, we have investigated the microstructure of JP monolayers formed at the air–water interface using particles with different degrees of amphiphilicity and examined the response of the networks to applied compressions. Our findings demonstrate that JPs amphiphilicity is a crucial factor governing their orientation at the interface, which in turn dictates the complexity of the capillary interactions present and the mechanical properties of the ensuing networks.  相似文献

The main purpose of power swing blocking is to distinguish faults from power swings. However, faults occurred during a power swing should still be detected and cleared promptly. This paper proposes an index based on detecting abrupt jump of impedance trajectory by utilization of the predicting capability of the Kalman Filter. The proposed index is calculated by assessing the difference between predicted and actual samples of impedance. The predicted impedance samples are obtained using the Kalman filter and Taylor expansion, which are used in this paper to track the phasor precisely. Second order of Taylor expansion is used to decrease the corrugation effect of impedance estimation and increase the reliability of the proposed method. Furthermore, in order to increase the selectivity of the proposed method, the proposed index is armed with phase comparison logic to detect internal faults. The instantaneous estimation and prediction capability of the Kalman filter are two reasons for proposing the use of Kalman filter. Intensive studies have been performed and the merit of the method is demonstrated by test simulations.  相似文献

The characterization of sinusoidal signals with time varying amplitude and phase is useful and applicable for many fields. Therefore several algorithms have been suggested to estimate main aspects of these signals. Within no standard approach to test the properties of these algorithms, it seems to be helpful to discuss a large class of algorithms according to their properties. In this paper, six methods of estimating dynamic phasor have been reviewed and discussed which three of them are based on least square and others are based on Kalman filter. Taylor expansion is used as a first step and continued with least square or Kalman filter in accordance with the proposal observer of each method. The theoretical processes of these methods are briefly clarified. The characterizations have been made by some tests in time and frequency domains. The tests include amplitude step, phase step, frequency step, frequency response, total vector error, transient monitor, noise, sample number, computation time, harmonic and DC offset which build a framework to compare the different methods.  相似文献

Distance transform algorithm for measuring nanofiber diameter   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
This paper describes a new distance transform method used for measuring fiber diameter in electrospun nanofiber webs. In this algorithm, the effect of intersection is eliminated, which brings more accuracy to the measurement. The method is tested by a series of simulated images with known characteristics as well as some real webs obtained from electrospinning of PVA. Our method is compared with the distance transform method. The results obtained by our method were significantly better than the distance transform, indicating that the new method could successfully be used to measure electrospun fiber diameter.  相似文献
