In 132 patients, fractures of the lower limb (71 femoral and 61 tibial fractures) were treated using interlocking nailing (ILN) according to Grosse and Kempf during the period 1986-1989. Of these, 118 were followed up for a median of 19 months (range 9-32 months). Inpatient stay averaged 9 days regardless of the fracture. Consolidation was achieved in approximately 3 or 4 months from the operation in tibial and femoral fractures, respectively. Tibial fractures were technically more demanding than femoral ones, and their average operating time was significantly longer (73 min versus 51 min). Only one patient had a malunion in malrotation. The most serious complication was in a closed upper tibial fracture with traumatic rupture of the popliteal artery. Although the nailing was technically successful, an above-knee amputation had to be carried out. In only one case did the nail fail, and tibial plating had to be performed. Given the present degree of expertise, ILN for fractures of the long bones of the lower limb is a safe and relatively easy procedure to perform. 相似文献

The bioprospecting of several monofloral Moroccan honeys was carried out. The antiradical activity expressed as mmol Trolox equivalents/kg of honey and evaluated by 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl assay, ranged from 0.15 for euphorb honey to 1.08 for citrus honey. The antioxidant activity expressed as mmol Fe2+/kg and evaluated by ferric ion reducing antioxidant power assay, ranged from 0.96 for euphorb honey to 4.74 for orange honey. The total phenol content was evaluated by colorimetric assay, while the color attributes were evaluated as transmittance data. Significant Pearson correlation factors were found between total polyphenol amount and antioxidant activity and between color attributes and antioxidant activity. Furthermore the chemical composition of volatile organic compounds was determined. The volatile organic compounds chemical composition of the studied honeys was mainly represented by terpene and benzene derivatives, Maillard reaction products, isoprenoids, and hydrocarbons. The volatiles fingerprint, as well as a targeted high-performance liquid chromatography analysis of the polar components, was used to tentatively confirm the declared botanical origin of the samples studied. 相似文献

Creating high-level structured 3D models of real-world indoor scenes from captured data is a fundamental task which has important applications in many fields. Given the complexity and variability of interior environments and the need to cope with noisy and partial captured data, many open research problems remain, despite the substantial progress made in the past decade. In this survey, we provide an up-to-date integrative view of the field, bridging complementary views coming from computer graphics and computer vision. After providing a characterization of input sources, we define the structure of output models and the priors exploited to bridge the gap between imperfect sources and desired output. We then identify and discuss the main components of a structured reconstruction pipeline, and review how they are combined in scalable solutions working at the building level. We finally point out relevant research issues and analyze research trends. 相似文献

We present a novel and light‐weight approach to capture and reconstruct structured 3D models of multi‐room floor plans. Starting from a small set of registered panoramic images, we automatically generate a 3D layout of the rooms and of all the main objects inside. Such a 3D layout is directly suitable for use in a number of real‐world applications, such as guidance, location, routing, or content creation for security and energy management. Our novel pipeline introduces several contributions to indoor reconstruction from purely visual data. In particular, we automatically partition panoramic images in a connectivity graph, according to the visual layout of the rooms, and exploit this graph to support object recovery and rooms boundaries extraction. Moreover, we introduce a plane‐sweeping approach to jointly reason about the content of multiple images and solve the problem of object inference in a top‐down 2D domain. Finally, we combine these methods in a fully automated pipeline for creating a structured 3D model of a multi‐room floor plan and of the location and extent of clutter objects. These contribution make our pipeline able to handle cluttered scenes with complex geometry that are challenging to existing techniques. We present a prototype medical data visualization system exploiting a light field display and custom direct volume rendering
techniques to enhance understanding of massive volumetric data, such as CT, MRI, and PET scans. The system can be integrated
with standard medical image archives and extends the capabilities of current radiology workstations by supporting real-time
rendering of volumes of potentially unlimited size on light field displays generating dynamic observer-independent light fields.
The system allows multiple untracked naked-eye users in a sufficiently large interaction area to coherently perceive rendered
volumes as real objects, with stereo and motion parallax cues. In this way, an effective collaborative analysis of volumetric
data can be achieved. Evaluation tests demonstrate the usefulness of the generated depth cues and the improved performance
in understanding complex spatial structures with respect to standard techniques.

In this paper, a hybrid genetic approach is proposed to solve the problem of designing a subdatabase of the original one with
the highest classification performances, the lowest number of features and the highest number of patterns. The method can
simultaneously treat the double problem of editing instance patterns and selecting features as a single optimization problem,
and therefore aims at providing a better level of information. The search is optimized by dividing the algorithm into self-controlled
phases managed by a combination of pure genetic process and dedicated local approaches. Different heuristics such as an adapted
chromosome structure and evolutionary memory are introduced to promote diversity and elitism in the genetic population. They
particularly facilitate the resolution of real applications in the chemometric field presenting databases with large feature
sizes and medium cardinalities. The study focuses on the double objective of enhancing the reliability of results while reducing
the time consumed by combining genetic exploration and a local approach in such a way that excessive computational CPU costs
are avoided. The usefulness of the method is demonstrated with artificial and real data and its performance is compared to
other approaches.

Markedly different chiral separation abilities were observed for native beta-cyclodextrin (beta-CD), carboxymethyl-beta-CD (CM-beta-CD) and heptakis (2,3,6-tri-O-methyl)-beta-CD (TM-beta-CD) towards the enantiomers of (+/-)-chlorpheniramine ((+/-)-CHL) in capillary electrophoresis (CE). Native beta-CD afforded almost baseline enantioseparation at a concentration of 18 mg/mL, whereas only 1 mg/mL solution of CM-beta-CD was required for adequate enantioseparation. TM-beta-CD allowed the nearly baseline enantioseparation only at a concentration as high as 80 mg/mL. Moreover, the migration order of (+/-)-CHL in the presence of TM-beta-CD was opposite to that with beta-CD and CM-beta-CD. 1H and 13C-NMR spectroscopy and electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI-MS) have been used in order to obtain preliminary information about the stoichiometry and the binding constants in the intermolecular diastereomeric complexes of (+/-)-CHL with these CDs. 相似文献
