Experimental information and theoretical estimates for the enthalpy of formation at 298 K for the RM2 (whereM = Fe, Co,orNi andR = La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, or Lu) lanthanide Laves phases with the MgCu2 (C15) structure are reviewed and discussed in the light of information on lattice parameters and atomic volume. The purpose of the present study is to analyze all the available experimental information on enthalpies of formation for transition-metal lanthanide Laves phases and then plot the data in order to reveal tendencies and allow reliable estimates of data that have not yet been measured. It is concluded that as the lanthanide atomic number increases the enthalpy of formation is almost constant or becomes slightly more negative. The accompanying volume contraction is slightly larger than expected from the lanthanide contraction, 7.6 %. From the so-called Gschneidner correlation one would have expected the contrary behavior, that is, that the bonding strength would become slightly lower when going from LaM2 to LuM2. An increase in the transition-metal atomic number has a stronger effect on the enthalpy of formation and atomic volume than an increase in the lanthanide atomic number.  相似文献

In this study, a novel online support vector regressor (SVR) controller based on system model estimated by a separate online SVR is proposed. The main idea is to obtain an SVR controller based on an estimated model of the system by optimizing the margin between reference input and system output. For this purpose, “closed-loop margin” which depends on tracking error is defined, then the parameters of the SVR controller are optimized so as to optimize the closed-loop margin and minimize the tracking error. In order to construct the closed-loop margin, the model of the system estimated by an online SVR is utilized. The parameters of the SVR controller are adjusted via the SVR model of system. The stability of the closed-loop system has also been analyzed. The performance of the proposed method has been evaluated by simulations carried out on a continuously stirred tank reactor (CSTR) and a bioreactor, and the results show that SVR model and SVR controller attain good modeling and control performances.  相似文献

This paper explores how different forms of anticipatory work contribute to reliability in high-risk space operations. It is based on ethnographic field work, participant observation and interviews supplemented with video recordings from a control room responsible for operating a microgravity greenhouse at the International Space Station (ISS). Drawing on examples from different stages of a biological experiment on the ISS, we demonstrate how engineers, researchers and technicians work to anticipate and proactively mitigate possible problems. Space research is expensive and risky. The experiments are planned over the course of many years by a globally distributed network of organizations. Owing to the inaccessibility of the ISS, every trivial detail that could possibly cause a problem is subject to scrutiny. We discuss what we label anticipatory work: practices constituted of an entanglement of cognitive, social and technical elements involved in anticipating and proactively mitigating everything that might go wrong. We show how the nature of anticipatory work changes between planning and the operational phases of an experiment. In the planning phase, operators inscribe their anticipation into technology and procedures. In the operational phase, we show how troubleshooting involves the ability to look ahead in the evolving temporal trajectory of the ISS operations and to juggle pre-planned fixes along these trajectories. A key objective of this paper is to illustrate how anticipation is shared between humans and different forms of technology. Moreover, it illustrates the importance of including considerations of temporality in safety and reliability research.  相似文献

Since DeLone and McLean (D&M) developed their model of IS success, there has been much research on the topic of success as well as extensions and tests of their model. Using the technique of a qualitative literature review, this research reviews 180 papers found in the academic literature for the period 1992–2007 dealing with some aspect of IS success. Using the six dimensions of the D&M model – system quality, information quality, service quality, use, user satisfaction, and net benefits – 90 empirical studies were examined and the results summarized. Measures for the six success constructs are described and 15 pairwise associations between the success constructs are analyzed. This work builds on the prior research related to IS success by summarizing the measures applied to the evaluation of IS success and by examining the relationships that comprise the D&M IS success model in both individual and organizational contexts.  相似文献

The self-assembling properties, stability, and dynamics of hybrid nanocarriers (gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) functionalized with cysteine-based peptides) in solution are studied through a series of classical molecular dynamics simulations based on a recently parametrized reactive force field. The results reveal, at the atomic level, all the details regarding the peptide adsorption mechanisms, nanoparticle stabilization, aggregation, and sintering. The data confirm and explain the experimental findings and disclose aspects that cannot be scrutinized by experiments. The biomolecules are both chemisorbed and physisorbed; self-interactions of the adsorbates and formation of stable networks of interconnected molecules on the AuNP surfaces limit substrate reconstructions, protect the AuNPs from the action of the solvent, and prevent direct interactions of the gold surfaces. The possibility of agglomeration of the functionalized nanoparticles, compared with the sintering of the bare supports in a water solution, is demonstrated through relatively long simulations and fast steered dynamics. The analysis of the trajectories reveals that the AuNPs were well stabilized by the peptides. This prevented particle sintering and kept the particles far apart; however, part of their chains could form interconnections (crosslinks) between neighboring gold vehicles. The excellent agreement of these results with the literature confirm the reliability of the method and its potential application to the modeling of more complex materials relevant to the biomedical sector.

Skyline computation in databases has been a hot topic in the literature because of its interesting applications. The basic idea is to find non-dominated values within a database. The task is mainly a multi-objective optimization process as described in this paper. This motivated for our approach that employs a multi-objective genetic algorithm based clustering approach to find the pareto-optimal front which allows us to locate skylines within a given data. To tackle large data, we simply split the data into manageable subsets and concentrate our analysis on the subsets instead of the whole data at once. The proposed approach produced interesting results as demonstrated by the outcome from the conducted experiments.  相似文献
