The optimal design of hydride tanks is a major technological issue for the rapid development of this technology. In this paper, a two-dimensional model of a closed metal–hydrogen reactor is presented. The temperature and the pressure temporal evolutions within the reactor as a function of time are reported. In order to determine the parameters to optimize a fast kinetic and optimal heat exchange, the impact of the supply pressure, the porosity and the dynamic viscosity have been studied. The results show that the effect of these parameters are key-factors for an optimized tank design. 相似文献

An experimental investigation has been carried out for a series of system and operating parameters in order to analyze the effect of mass flow rate on heat transfer and Nusselt number characteristics in solar air heater. Experiments are performed at different air mass flow rates; varying from 0.012 to 0.016 kg/s, about hot summer days of Mai 2012. Hourly values of global solar radiation and some meteorological data (temperature, wind speed, relative humidities, etc.) for measuring days are obtained from the Biskra city of Algeria. The experiments encompassed the flow Reynolds number in the range 965.48–1301.4. Longitudinal fins were used inferior the absorber plate for an increase the heat exchange and render the flow fluid in the channel uniform. The effects of mass flow rate of air on the outlet temperature, Nusselt Number, Reynolds Number, Prandtl Number, the heat transfer in the thickness and length of the solar air collector were studied. For this effect was have created a new correlation correspondent of solar air collector with using fins it was written Nu = κ0Re1.36Pr?0.68exp(0.342m)h [?0.018Pr]. 相似文献

Detection of aberration in video surveillance is an important task for public safety. This paper puts forward a simple but effective framework to detect aberrations in video streams using Entropy, which is estimated on the statistical treatments of the spatiotemporal information of a set of interest points within a region of interest by measuring their degree of randomness of both directions and displacements. Entropy is a measure of the disorder/randomness in video frame. It has been showed that degree of randomness of the directions (circular variance) changes markedly in abnormal state of affairs and does change only direction variation but does not change with displacement variation of the interest point. Degree of randomness of the displacements has been put in for to counterbalance this deficiency. Simple simulations have been exercised to see the characteristics of these crude elements of entropy. Normalized entropy measure provides the knowledge of the state of anomalousness. Experiments have been conducted on various real world video datasets. Both simulation and experimental results report that entropy measures of the frames over time is an outstanding way to characterize anomalies in videos. 相似文献

This paper presents an experimental analysis of a single pass solar air collector with, and without using baffle fin. The heat transfer coefficient between the absorber plate and air can be considerably increased by using artificial roughness on the bottom plate and under the absorber plate of a solar air heater duct. An experimental study has been conducted to investigate the effect of roughness and operating parameters on heat transfer. The investigation has covered the range of Reynolds number Re from 1259 to 2517 depending on types of the configuration of the solar collectors. Based on the experimental data, values of Nusselt number Nu have been determined for different values of configurations and operating parameters. To determine the enhancement in heat transfer and increment in thermal efficiency, the values of Nusselt have been compared with those of smooth duct under similar flow conditions. 相似文献

It is well known that the ambient temperature is a sensitive parameter which has a great effect on biology, technology, geology and even on human behavior. A prediction is a statement about an uncertain event. It is often, but not always, based upon experience or knowledge. Although guaranteed accurate information about the future is in many cases impossible, prediction can be useful to assist in making plans about possible developments. As a result, temperature profiles can be developed which accurately represent the expected ambient temperature exposure that this environment experiences during measurement. The ambient temperature over time is modeled based on the previous T min and T max data and using a Lagrange interpolation. To observe the comprehensive variation of ambient temperature the profile must be determined numerically. The model proposed in this paper can provide an acceptable way to measure the change in ambient temperature. 相似文献

This paper addresses the problem of head pose estimation in order to infer non-intrusive feedback from users about gaze attention. The proposed approach exploits the bilateral symmetry of the face. Size and orientation of the symmetrical area of the face is used to estimate roll and yaw poses by the mean of decision tree model. The approach does not need the location of interest points on face and presents robustness to partial occlusions. Tests were performed on different datasets (FacePix, CMU PIE, Boston University) and our approach coped with variability in illumination and expressions. Results demonstrate that the changes in the size of the regions that contain a bilateral symmetry provide accurate pose estimation. 相似文献
