We have studied a new phenomenon according to which an alternating magnetic field is transformed into electric voltage and vice versa in a structure comprising a ferroelectric ring with metal electrodes deposited onto its surface. The ferroelectric is polarized in the radial direction and placed into a constant magnetic field, which is perpendicular to the ring plane. The transformation results from a combination of the electromagnetic induction in the conducting circuit and the piezoelectric effect in the ferroelectric ring. This phenomenon can be used for creating magnetic sensors with linear characteristics.  相似文献

We describe a permanent magnetic field sensor based on a radially polarized piezoelectric ring, with one electrode carrying alternating current. The device operation principle combines the Ampére force and piezoeffect. The magnetic sensor is characterized by a reduced responsivity of up to 0.2 V/(kOe A). The response is linear in a range of fields up to several hundred kOe.  相似文献

The magnetoelectric (ME) effect in double-layer composite disk resonators containing mechanically joined layers of magnetostrictive nickel and piezoelectric lead zirconate titanate is experimentally studied. A resonant growth of the efficiency of the ME interaction is discovered at the frequencies of the flexural and radial modes of mechanic vibrations of the resonator. Frequencies of the flexural and radial vibrations of double-layer ME resonators are calculated. The possibilities of controlling the efficiency of the ME interaction by means of selecting the thicknesses of the structure layers and the orientation of the external permanent magnetic field are demonstrated. The sensitivity of the sensors of low-frequency magnetic fields based on ME resonators is estimated.  相似文献

We have studied the temperature dependence of the characteristics of the resonant magnetoelectric (ME) interaction in the planar composite structure comprising a ferroelectric layer of lead magnesium niobate-lead titanate and a layer of nickel. It is established that an increase in the temperature in a 220?C340 K interval is accompanied by a decrease in the resonance frequency and in the efficiency of the interaction. The results can be used in developing methods for thermal stabilization of ME devices.  相似文献
