This paper presents interactive smart battery-based storage (BBS) for wind generator (WG) and photovoltaic (PV) systems. The BBS is composed of an asymmetric cascaded H-bridge multilevel inverter (ACMI) with staircase modulation. The structure is parallel to the WG and PV systems, allowing the ACMI to have a reduction in power losses compared to the usual solution for storage connected at the DC-link of the converter for WG or PV systems. Moreover, the BBS is embedded with a decision algorithm running real-time energy costs, plus a battery state-of-charge manager and power quality capabilities, making the described system in this paper very interactive, smart and multifunctional. The paper describes how BBS interacts with the WG and PV and how its performance is improved. Experimental results are presented showing the efficacy of this BBS for renewable energy applications.  相似文献

The connection of distributed power sources with the utility grid generally needs an electronic power converter for processing the locally generated power and injecting current into the system. If the source provides a dc voltage, the converter must be able to produce a low-distortion high-power-factor ac current. The same aspects related with the voltage and current distortion produced by nonlinear loads can be considered for the injection of power into the grid. In the absence of a specific standard, this paper takes as a reference the limits for current harmonics given by international standards. The justification for this approach is that, from the resulting line voltage degradation, there is no difference between injected and absorbed currents. This paper presents a three-phase inverter using low-frequency commutation. An auxiliary circuit is added to the inverter topology to reduce the output voltage distortion, thus improving the current waveform. The main advantages of this approach are the minimization of the switching losses and the elimination of the electromagnetic interference, which avoids high-frequency filters necessary in high-frequency commutation inverters  相似文献

This paper deals with designing and sizing of a multiple-input power electronic converter (MIPEC) to be used in an electric vehicle propulsion system that includes a fuel cell (FC) generator and a combined storage unit. The combined storage unit is composed by an ultracapacitors tank (UC) and a battery unit (BU). MIPEC is responsible for power-flow management on-board the vehicle for each mode of operation. Specifications for MIPEC designing come out from many considerations concerning traction drive and reference driving cycle, on-board power source and storage unit characteristics. However, to date sizing and configuration of both storage units and on-board generators are directly related to traction drive and driving profile (i.e., vehicle performances and characteristics) and no relation with power electronic interface is considered during preliminary design. Then, power electronic interface is selected in order to fit traction drive requirements with power source and storage unit characteristics; as a consequence converter mode of operation lacks of optimization, as well dynamic behavior and efficiency cannot be maximized. In this paper, MIPEC design and power source and storage unit selection are achieved at the same project stage according to traction drive requirements. Experimental results on 60-kW power electronic interface are presented.  相似文献

Micellar electrokinetic capillary chromatography (MECC) experimental conditions were applied to 12 samples of methylxanthine‐containing infusions of different commercial brands of yerba mate, coffee, tea and cocoa as well as two cola drinks. The best resolution in this mode of automated high‐performance capillary electrophoresis (HPCE) was achieved here when using 15 kV voltage in an uncoated fused‐silica capillary of 45 cm length (40 cm effective length), 50 mM sodium dodecylsulfate, 90 mM pH 8.5 borate buffer and UV detection. Theobromine, caffeine and theophylline were separated, and the peak splitting due to tautomeric species was observed. Experimental conditions were controlled, keeping constant the size of the elution window in each analysis. The limit of detection was less than 1 mg l?1, the limit of quantitation was 2.5 mg l?1 and the work range was 2.5–300 mg l?1. This HPCE–MECC system has proved suitable for the analysis/quality control of xanthines in beverages for consumption. Roles of various parameters as well as distinctly charged species of each xanthine and the origin of peak splitting in this MECC system are discussed. Flicker effect caused by voltage harmonics modulation is discussed. Simple functions are used to show that harmonic components, despite satisfying the specific harmonic limits, may produce flicker due to combined amplitude modulation (AM). Computer simulations, based on the International Electro-technical Commission (IEC) methodology, are numerically validated and then applied to calculate the instantaneous flicker sensation, resulting from different combinations of harmonics modulation. The results are also confirmed in laboratory tests using a flickermeter to measure the flicker levels obtained by synthesizing the same type of signals on a programmable function generator.  相似文献

This paper introduces an energy management strategy based on fuzzy logic supervisory for road electric vehicle, combining a fuel cell power source and two energy storage devices, i.e., batteries and ultracapacitors. The control strategy is designed to achieve the high-efficiency operation region of the individual power source and to regulate current and voltage at peak and average power demand, without compromising the performance and efficiency of the overall system. A multiple-input power electronic converter makes the interface among generator, energy storage devices, and the voltage dc-link bus. Classical regulators implement the control loops of each input of the converter. The supervisory system coordinates the power flows among the power sources and the load. The paper is mainly focused on the fuzzy logic supervisory for energy management of a specific power electronic converter control algorithm. Nevertheless, the proposed system can be easily adapted to other converters arrangements or to distributed generation applications. Simulation and experimental results on a 3-kW prototype prove that the fuzzy logic is a suitable energy management control strategy.  相似文献

The purpose of this article is to present a method to equalize power imbalances in single-phase loads driven by three-phase voltage source inverters. The objective is to unbalance the line-to-line voltages in order to equalize the individual load power. The method is evaluated under non-linear loads, considering the dispersion of the high-voltage transformer electrical parameters values usually found in ozone generating systems. Two methods are considered for equalizing the load power. In the progressive method, the power equalization is performed by a microcontroller and works setting up the voltage applied over each load in response to power feedback from the other loads. In addition, Fuzzy Logic concepts are also applied, permitting a fast response, in spite of lower precision in the power balancing. Analytical, simulation and experimental results validate both methods.  相似文献
